Quote: Trojan Horse "Why against Hull we went with Kay at 13 I don’t know.

Atoni/ Battye should have remained at 13. We are in a position now we don’t have an interchange 9.

Sounds like we are dropping too much ball and playing a bit of panic rugby. Let’s hope we can come out more composed second half.'"

Completely agree. The team selection was wrong.

Just got back from the match and the Trinity pack were dominated and as much as I like Kay he is not a loose forward and got smashed on more than one occasion. Should have had Atoni there and Sam Eseh on bench.

The referee was completely inept but despite that Hull were clearly the better team especially in the second half when Trinity were very poor.

Quote: PopTart "It's one game. They haven't all just become bad players and coach over night.
No matter what the score we were going to have to beat Cas.

We were never going to win all our games to the end of the season. Keep your nerve and support the team.'"

I can stand the defeat but the score line is disappointing to say the least. Hull have been very ordinary all season and we had a chance to lessen the importance of the Cas game.
Now it’s massive again.
I have supported them for 63 years but by god they really infuriate me at times!
If we don’t beat Cas at home we really don’t deserve to stay up !

Don't think the Cas game will be the deciding match, too much going on at Cas.
We have both been dire all season and picking a club to survive almost impossible.
Who ever survives must adopt a totally different outlook, and sign some quality.

Wakefield head coach Mark Applegarth:

"Their line speed rattled us all game and I think they were just the better team. I thought we were going to save up a better performance than that but credit to Hull."We've got some honest assessments to make after that and it's really important that we stick together. We were frustrated all game. We let a few things rattle us and we need to be better at staying composed in those situations."There were a couple of soft tries but I don't need to tell the players that, they know that and we'll work hard on fixing that."On the injury to Samisoni Langi:"He's got a fracture in his shoulder but it thankfully sounds like there's no damage to his neck. We're just happy that it's not his neck, the main thing for me is that Samisoni is alright."

Quote: 1315trinity "Typical Wakefield.
I can stand a defeat but that was a walloping not conducive with a team playing for their careers.
I’m back to ‘ don’t care’
That was a golden opportunity missed- again.'"

My sentiments entirely. Build us all up just to knock us down again in space of one match. Somebody draft JK in pdq before that lot do.

I thought Proctor looked absolutely knackered after about five minutes. Perhaps he needs a rest by a way of another holiday

Though in the first half we were unlucky to be 12 point down, some strange decision by Mr Kendall including not been able to count above 5. Hull got the ball and scored of the next 6. In the second half the form of the first 15 games came back we were shocking .Defended Lino a lot on this forum but think he needs a rest, was just stopping the flow of the ball all the second half .but over hall most of the team was bad The only comfort I have is that the Cas forwards are not as strong as the Hull pack who smash us all over the park .And I do not think for parts of the match it was as bad as watching Huddersfield away.Think there as got to be some big changes for the Cas game ,it should see if we have a Coach who knows what he is doing

Quote: Egg Banjo "Exactly this, they had the chance to go points off the bottom, or even have a respectable loss and stay off the bottom to give some confidence heading into Cas in two weeks, and they absolutely failed to do that, with yet another half of rugby passing without scoring a point - yet another Applegarth masterpiece'"
