| I'd be dropping Lino for Gale at the first opportunity.

I've not been impressed with Lino for a while, too slow, too predictable.
Stupid not playing Gale tonight.'"

Lino playing very much like a stand off at the moment and forgetting about his job at half back. Personally I think Gale at 7 and Lino at 6 could work but Smith definitely earning the shirt at the moment so Gale/Smith is what he’ll probably go with.

| The one thing that was clear from tonight is that we are not a team, even if we did offload the ball there was no one in support. I am sorry but the blame lays with the coach, I agree he does not have much to work with which is the club’s fault but he is incapable of getting the best out of them.

Totally agree. This is a team sport, so I see no value in ever blaming an individual player for what is a wider issue. We don't know that he's not got much to work with, there are some fairly good players in the team which he just seems incapable of even getting the basics out of, and to add to that, he doesn't seem to push fitness, have any notable tactics, or any team building skills.

| Well once again that was utterly dire. We offer nothing with the ball, Smiths promising game last week was obviously a flash in the pan as he was back to worse than useless again. Lino is having to play a game that doesn’t suit him and do it by himself, poor lad doesn’t stand a chance. The forwards were weak defensively, some of those attempts were awful. We’ve zero pace in the team, and whilst Dagger saved us more than once he offers nothing as a link man. Hood is about as sharp at dummy half as my old mum and Proctor is possibly the least value for money player in our history. We average 6 points a game. How Applegarth keeps his job i don’t know but it just stinks of the cheap option and accepting our fate and prepping for going with mainly kids next year. Trust me that won’t work in the championship either.

| The reality is we have a team who are athletically inferior to the rest in the competition.
We lack pace, agility and strength.
Every team generally runs the same pattens the good teams execute these patterns quickly and at the line and the creative player more often than not picks the right option runner be it out of the back or pick up the line runner.
We execute slowly and more often than not pick the wrong option….which combined with the lack of athleticism is a sure fire recipe for the position in which we find ourselves.
I cannot remember leaving a game and feeling so deflated and accepting of our fate as I was leaving the ground tonight.

Smith is earning the shirt?? Wow is that’s some sort of
Suck joke? He’s by far the worst half back in the league and the club. I’d rather play my 11 year old at least he wouldn’t be kicking the ball on the second and third tackle nearly every time he gets it!

Lino is playing his natural game, he is a runner not a creative midfield general despite what we were told when he signed.
Gale needs to take up the midfield general role we have not been able to find since the days of Finn and Williams and just let Lino do his thing.

| Quote: Schunter "Absolutely bored out of my mind for most of that. But I didn't really see anyone who wasn't trying. Proctor was trying it's just he's absolutley knackered after 5 minutes and plays the ball like a 98 year old. What I don't get is hasn't he played most of his career runnning onto the ball wider? if so why are we having him plow it up the middle?
We are clearly inhibited by extrmely low confidence because there were little patches where we played the ball at speed, got the ball wide at speed and actually ran on to the ball at speed. The problem is for the rest of the time everything is so laboured in both attack and defence that the opposition have it way too easy.
We can't change the squad the only thing we can change is the head coach. He's gotta go we still somehow have a tiny glimmer of hope because Cas are also gash, just not as gash as us at this point. Surely we wouldn't want him in charge next year after a season of such failure this, so why wait anyway?
I heard Gale had a groin injury, anyone else hear that?'"
Gale himself said it's a groin injury. P

| I felt very frustrated by the “You’re not fit to wear the shirt!” chant.
For me if you are giving your all you do the shirt justice regardless of result.
I genuinely do think the players are giving everything they can, however they simply are not as good as their opponents week in week out.

| Well I reckon that's it for us and after 60 years watching Trin I think that's about it for me . Applegarth and Ford need to go back to coaching a college team from whence they came. Absolutely clueless the pair of them . When Mash got the job above Poaching I bet he couldn't get on the phone quick enough to his college buddy . Well they've done really well at turning this once great club into an embarrassment. When he gave lineham the 5 shirt at the beginning proved how he was going to cock it up. I'm really depressed to be making this decision but can't take anymore of this bull. Good luck to all of you that are still going to attend.

The way I see it, it’s like watching a fight to the death when our opposition are armed with an AK47 and we are sent in to compete with a blunt rusty spoon.
I’m not pointing the finger at anyone. Recruitment has killed us. Like most things at Trinity compared to every other club we have been at a disadvantage over our consistent uncertainty of survival compared to our rivals.
We have up till a few years ago managed to pull a few unlikely rabbits out of the hat, but this year we haven’t and that was always going to catch up with us sooner or later and sure enough it has.
I appreciate everyone pays their money and makes their choice but personally I will continue trying to prioritise getting to home matches whilst ever I see effort in the team and I see no reason to stop going and supporting despite how deflating it is because I genuinely think the effort is there.

This is me John. I will go to home games.
I do think we should fight but equally it may be an idea to take a step back to the championship and have a clean slate on the playing roster.
We have some reliable players over the years but they are older and at the tail end of their careers. We have players we have tied down to long deals but seemingly haven’t found the form that earned them those deals.
I would honestly consider building a strong championship team early for next season. It would be easier to accept that if we were further adrift though. 4 points isn’t insurmountable though…
I would t mind seeing trinity be a big fish in the championship and experience a season of winning a good amount of games. It would bring the fans back too I believe. Unfortunately the slow degradation over last 5 years has taken its toll.
Should we stay up we will be forced to recruit late and likely renewing a number if the current playing squad due to availability etc.
Such a rough choice
