| Well let's hope this is the end of the matter, surely even deadly Derek won't try it on by the time we play Leigh.

| Degsy likes booking a pre-game act. Maybe we could get Tom Jones to do a rendition of Green Green Grass of Home?

Top six 2005 - Trinity.: |
|
| So can we claim back lost sky monies?
I’d at least be saying to sky that this game still counts as the first fixture and we receive a pay out for the next.
The pitch is again passed and the club haven’t done anything wrong. Why should it suffer?

Perhaps Trinity could use that music as the teams enter the field for kick off

We'll probably make more from the gate receipts for supports now coming to ground.

| Quote: Trojan Horse "I dread to think how silly the rfl would look if the pitch wasn’t passed. Afterall, they have passed it in pre season and I believe employed an independent inspector who also allowed it to proceed (whether it passed or not). One would assume it did though as the game got played.
Last game seemed to be played with no consequence for both Wakey and Hudds. Can’t see why this one shouldn’t unless.
The decision should be made by a person who is qualified to inspect pitches. Again if it passes the test then it’s played regardless of what Trinity/KR think or may have issue with.'"
Huddersfield agreed to play on it even though they weren’t happy with its condition. They were anxious to play the game having already missed one round of SL because Sts were in Australia.
Ian Watson didn’t make an issue of it after the game but that doesn’t mean there were no issues!
Every Giants player had some damage and injury which Huddersfield had anticipated that they would need more medical staff and a variety of treatments for burns, grazes and other skin issues, that included antibiotics & antiseptics

What loss of revenue?
Two needless pitch inspections, both passed with ease. The problem isn’t the pitch it’s the wonderful RL family.

| Lets face it, it's all b*llocks and propaganda.
There is [inothing wrong [/iwith that pitch.
Have they all turned into wusses? What would they have thought of the Widnes pitch?
They'd have never played a home game on it FFS.
Clearly, HKR trying it on after Cats & Shudds tried to make an issue out of it and the fact they have a few players missing.....
You don't need Miss Marple or a slide rule to work it out FFS.
Its the same for both teams isnt it?
Or have we got magic powers?
Get on with the game!!!

Long live the Death Pitch!!!

I am, there are certain Trinity fans sic, who probably blame the club for COVID and the Ukrainian war.

| Quote: Sacred Cow "They were, but only for about 6 or 7 weeks then back to BV to save a few quid. That wasn't long enough when trying to establish it in winter, then we thought playing 5 games on it in a month was a good idea. I can promise you our groundsman was not a happy bunny. The club have done very well with ground redevelopment but they do get things wrong sometimes you know and this is one of those times. We'll just have to deal with it.'"
So you’re a grass/pitch expert are you.
Well you are wrong. We were scheduled to start training on the new pitch at BV in January. This is on record from the moment the old pitch was dug up FACT.
This was on the manufacturer’s say do, not a random decision by us.
We have followed their guidelines throughout end of debate.
And yet again the manufacturer was correct, pitch passes second unnecessary inspection.
Maybe if people weren’t passing on half baked nonsense like you have on this occasion (sorry you’re normally ok) we wouldn’t be having to put up with this nonsense- just a thought.

What really annoys me is that the Leeds pitch, which had more sand on it than Blackpool beach at the start of the season and was in a far worse state than BV got far less stick and no inspections as far as I recall. No teams seemed to care about that, yet I can't imagine it was very nice to play on, but Fatnamara and co didn't moan about that.
It's funny but they didn't like us when we had crap facilities but were happy to patronise, they seem positively terrified of us now we are getting our act together, makes you sick - though not as sick as the number of so called Trinity fans join in with them.

| From the HKR twitter
RFL STATEMENT – WAKEFIELD PITCH INSPECTION
The RFL have determined that Friday’s Betfred Super League fixture between Wakefield Trinity and Hull KR can go ahead as scheduled at the Be Well Support Stadium.
An inspection of the playing surface has been conducted, with officials of both clubs present, following issues since the pitch was re-laid during the off-season.
An independent consultant confirmed that the playing surface has improved significantly in the 17 days since the Huddersfield fixture on 3 March, and the RFL Board have therefore ruled that the match can go ahead as planned.
Buy your tickets and travel for Friday’s game here.

I presume we lose the Sky money and possible increased sponsorship opportunities a game on the TV brings. We also had to do additional remedial work after the Catalan game, all of which cost us money which apparently we are short of.

Well something was wrong for our game against Catalan or were their players and some of ours just self harming to make us look bad. It appears you are more knowledgeable than the rest of us so why did these injuries happen ?. The outcome is that currently every home game it gives the RFL and the opposition a chance to publicly discredit the club.
