He was excellent.
Him and Hall seemed to be enjoying themselves too. Plenty of chat between them and both played superbly.
Really chuffed for the lad.
So many players hitting a 9/10 performance and backing up last weeks league win is a credit to all the players and coaching staff.
Long may it continue.

Makes you wonder if at some point soon he can't swap with Kay and allow Kay back to 9.
I thought Kay was terrific yesterday but I think he's itching to get back in the middle. Hats of though he hasn't sulked and has played extremely well both times.
He's a bit of an unsung hero for me. Very skilful, highly adaptable, we are lucky to have him and I never understood the negativity when we signed him. When Hood was injured he was great at 9 and if he hadn't been available we may have had to loan a player or really dig deep into the Academy. Instead we had a prolific winger who could just slot back in, phew,

| Watched the game last night after Mother’s Day duties.
I knew the score and to be honest I assumed I’d read wrong after the initial 10 mins. It’s not that I thought they totally dominated us in that period although I think they had the better of it, it’s more to do with our spirit to not let heads go down, which was great to see and also makes the Leeds performance even more baffling.
The pack seem to have come to life and lads who were probably not playing near their best are now getting us on the front foot and giving the halves a platform on which to build a game.
Warrington’s pack were terrible and we took full advantage of that. Powell has a massive job on his hands there. Credit to WP for out coaching Powell too. Why on Earth Powell took Walker off and replaced him with Clarke I will never know. Walker was really hurting us, Clarke did nothing.
Fantastic result, and I don’t think there were any significant injuries. Should hopefully go into the Salford game full of confidence.

Kay has been a revelation.
When he moved to play 9, it looked at first, as an ok emergency option and now, he looks so effective at 9, that, it's "disappointing" to see him playing on the wing.
Poaching will have some real head scratching if/when we have a few players back, especially in our three quarters. What a great position to be in.

Liam is one of those frustrating players. Everyone knowledgeable in the game knew he had far more talent than to be loitering on the wing for Leigh and Toronto. Whatever the reason in the last year the lad has transformed, he's not just taken on a new and more demanding specialised role but he's also showing leadership. In a real emergency, I reckon he could also cover H/B and F/B and do so quite well. He's pretty much taken over from Rocky, they are very similar players though I hadn't really realised until now.

| The tries from yesterdays game typified the each teams style of play perfectly. The two Wire tries were pieces of individual brilliance and the three scores by Wakefield was team work personified. Wakey were the better team and Wire were relying on individual skills to get them through. Teamwork wins.

I think that WP mentioned it in his post match interview, that they had exploited space behind the ruck in consecutive weeks.
However, our defence, in general has been excellent this season (apart from the first half v Leeds).

I agree. And to be honest Widdop was really good for them. He saved them a couple of times.
Apart from Currie the others didn't seem to want to play at Widdop's level.

Think they were the only two that caused us real problems.
Quote on a Wire social media platform.....

That's twice that's been said now.......
