I always thought Gill was brought in by Wally because he was getting hit late every game but when he came over for 'An Audience With' he said he just turned up with no one knowing who he was.

I’m not sure this is correct but there was a story that he turned up at cas to play Boxing Day hammered. He apparently had been on the lash at the pub on the hill at Stanley the British oak. We lost that aswell in front of a big crowd

Thats it and atnleastbit raised some peiple spirits and gave cc a day rest..

Now we are being serious again let’s hope Battye is fit and as good as last year. That alone will e a huge step up from any of our current pack.

He wasn't hammered whenever I went in and certainly wasn't at the game.

I do remember Knocker Norton turning up drunk to play Cas. He had a blinder.
