I think you misunderstand.
The people posting positive comments are just happy the team they support who's loyalty and effort have been questioned have stood up to be counted and made them proud of their team.

I’ve been critical in the past, but well done everyone involved tonight.
Max has proved he is the best full back we have in our squad. Please leave him there, rather than turn him into something else.
Still unconvinced on Miller, apart from his tackle that led to the winning try.
Battye really seems to wear his heart on his sleeve and in the badge.
An ugly win, but a win, and that is all that matters right now.
Let’s build on this, and into 2021. Another season, another goal, but let’s start building now
