| TBH there were some equally awful stuff being said about Crowther from some of our own supporters on the Western Terrace yesterday.

| My take on the game
1. Too many silly penalties along with some poor plays leading to dropped balls. Accepting it was first run out I can live with the latter but the former is something that as a club we cannot seem to cut out. We marched Leeds up the pitch on numerous occasions.
2. Second half we never saw the ball Leeds dominated but for the 14 points during the sin binning I take heart from the defensive effort in that half and most of the first half. However this drained the tank.
3. It was a good run out for some of the younger players who all did a stint.
4. Shame about the serious injuries it took an age with King held by 3 players for the ref to call held not suggesting foul play but the multiple player wrestling needs looking at. I get keeping a player moving whilst fully wrapped up gets the defence in position but this needs a balance in my view.
5 I thought territorial wise we were totally dominated but I have outlined why I think why. Leeds killed us up the middle and took our juice.
6. Leeds had a stronger team out based on squads and availability but the game time for the young players is money in the bank

Good post RWB covers it all especially the held in tackle bit.

| Good post, interesting point about 3 man tackeling. My main concern was how slow we were when we had the ball ,the passing ,the lack of speed when receiving the ball ,the lack of dummy runners, these were all things Leeds we're doing well friendly or not .The only player who looked good with the ball was Jowitt

Line speed was way slower than Leeds, which enabled Gale to much time with the ball. One other thing I struggled with was how many Leeds players were in our defensive line .

| Just watched the game on Trinity tv, it was a poor second half, but another day a couple of those dropped passes will go to hand for a score. When did J Crowther receive his injury? He was still playing at the final whistle.

| We certainly weren't at the races on Boxing Day, that is for sure.
Speedy recoveries for both Jordy and King, and both will be missed equally

That's pretty much my thoughts, they're both solid players, I couldn't choose one I'd rather be without tbh.
Looking beyond the "team" perspective on a personal level though, both these guys have suffered not insignificant injuries.
I am mindful of the tendency of some fans to look all too quickly beyond them to their replacements.
Its a bit of a kick in the nuts for the team but the really big hit is to the injured players individually.
It should not be beyond the wit of fans to remember what goes into making a professional RL player.

Some awful stuff gets said about every player in the heat of the moment. I don't know why airing this on a public forum with the obvious exisiting emotional connection some people have is useful whatsoever.

| Ok lads n lasses let's wish the injured player's a speedy recovery n move on. I remember Wakefield being betan by Dewsbury in a preseason cup match and the following week beating Leeds at headingly at the start of the season so chins up and happy new year to all.

| The trolls sat at their keyboard in a pair of 'lemon stained' underpants can only continue to exist because they feed on a response, ignore and they die or just sadly post and are forever ignored just treat them with contempt they deserve.

Calm Waters don't make good sailors
If you help somebody as you go along then your life hasn't been in vain: |

Agreed. I've heard every player chastised in the heat of the moment and if you stand in the same area every week you get to hear people's scapegoats. Lynne, Miller, Hirst gets dogs abuse near me. Once someone dislikes a player they easily see the negatives and not so much the positives.
After a loss it's worse than ever. If we win, those whose had stinkers can get away with no abuse as everyones happy.
All the best to a speedy recovery to Jordan and George. Two players who leave nothing out there.
