| The Saints game was a lot like the Salford cup match, where apart from a couple of spells, we looked a distant second.
Having turned over just about every team in the league this season, apart from Cas, we should have been competitive and we lost the game in the forwards, which was disappointing.
Saints generally were able to get far enough down the field to be able to attack on their last tackle plays, whereas, when we got to our last play, which wasn't often enough, we were putting containing kicks or speculators, rather than being able to put genuine pressure on Saint's defence.
I know there were exceptions but our pack will need to be way better over the next 7 games.
We know that we can hurt teams if we get decent ball out wide but, credit Saints, they stifled our attacking options.

Jeez...........edited, I clearly stated I didn't know and was asking where it came from - as it came from the man who runs the club then fine.
Do you actually read posts or do you just react in fool mode.
Do we have to run questions through you and Chissitt these days, is that the rule now? No wonder the old crew don't bother with this forum anymore.

Is that 70k turnover or pure profit - I'm just interested as it gives a good idea as to what we make out of non regular games.

He didnt say but as a guesstimate I would assume profit for instance if we had an average of say 5500 for 4 home games with 4500 adults and 1000 kids the adults would bring in around 90k give or take then whatever it would be for kids and hospitality then expenses off. I am no accountant this is fag packet stuff but my assumption would be profit.

I think his exact words were it was "Worth 70 to 80 thousand pound to the club" which I think would indicate profit? At a guess!

Don't forget a fair number of those fans will be season ticket holders though aswell.
I think I saw MC recently said the club wouldn't survive without the income of food and refreshments on a match day so I think that's probably a bigger number than we imagine as well.

| Quote: Shifty Cat "Just had a look over at TotalRl forum to see what a few Wakey fans were saying over there and one post particularly caught my eye.
A poster claims, all the teams from Hudds, Catalans, Wire, Saints and Wigan will defo be better next year. so we've missed our opportunity. Who's to say what any of those Clubs will do next year, just like 2016 & as far as I can see, we're still in there to finish as high as we ever have in SL. As long as we play like we know we can. So how have we missed our opportunity? It's not as if anyone thought we were realistically going for the Grand Final
Also he says this season looks like an ananomly (I preumre because of this loss) rather than a breakthrough year now. Lets be right just about every pundit and fan, except for our own, had us down in the bottom 4 and we've managed to be competing near the Top 4 each week, how isn't that a breakthrough year for Trinity.
He also amazingly thinks that there are question marks over the coaching staff about taking the Club further and their ability to win vital games. Basically because we ddn't beat Saints today, plus we finsihed 8th last year and got to the CC semi and this year 5th and the CC 1/4 finals and apparentely we spent a bit more on the SC and it's just a small step forward.
Must be just me, but this season has seen the general level of consistancy and quality of RL, (barring the odd game) has literally come on leaps & bounds over last year and many a year before that. This year we qualifeld for the Top 8 with ease & going into the last week could have ended up 3rd with a win. Last year, even though Chester did a great job when he came in, we got into the top 8 basically because Salford got a points deduction and we got a good draw in the CC to get to the Semi. I think on the money we spend compared to all others, the Club and players have done a marvelous job and some fans seem to lose sight of that fact sometimes.'"
Just had a look over there, what a cheerful and positive guy that is! Later goes on to claim he/she is not being negative

Not sure what this has to do with me squire but seeing as you've invited me to comment I will, Dale Carnegie wrote a book called How to win friends and influence people which in fairness I did recommend you to read it, to date it's sold over 30 million copies' not to mention those what just borrowed it to read, you obviously haven't read it , clearly you believe it's a waste of time as you probably think your above taking advice, or, or maybe you think you've alienated yourself from too many posters on here that it's a waste of time anyway.
Might I suggest that if you have an issue with me please quote me direct and not through a third party your not a schoolboy so don't behave like one

| Everyone is clearly free to post here or elsewhere if they wish.
The 'no wonder no one posts' argument is pretty tired. It's used quite often when people font get their own way.
There are currently 28 people logged in to just the Wakefield forum in the middle of the day, with hundreds of guest visitors.
I don't think we have to worry about frightening off the old crew.
Just follow the AUP. I'm pretty certain no user is named directly in it apart from Admin.
