| The RFL are ready to criticise Belle Vue as not being fit for purpose. The question remains is, "Is the RFL fit for purpose?" Surely stringent ground condition criteria was ruled out as an obligation when the franchising system was ended. The club should fund any cosmetic improvements that the ground requires. That would be more economical than the income from the inevitable much smaller crowds at Dewsbury, surely.

Yeah the club have been shafted from a great height and the most frustrating thing from the outside is that we just seem to be lying down and taking it. I know that there had to be restraint during delicate discussions but they don't seem to be delicate any more! More non-existent !

The problem also is what would leaving BV, and thus Wakefield, cost the club? Potentially an awful lot more.

It has always been not fit for purpose, its just we got dispensation due to the promise of a new ground or redevelopment in the horizon. We haven't delivered, albeit not our fault. We can't expect the RFL to let it ride forever just because it suits us. It's obvious to all now that Newmarket will never happen, seems that was the 'plan' all along. Sorry but we can't blame the RFL for our ill's here.

| Perhaps we could refer to it as an iconic ground and get the RFL to buy it!

I agree can't blame the RFL but hopefully it will all come out and we can start blaming the people who deserve to get it big style

Without a doubt there are certain other people who need chastising publicly for this. Sadly the horse has already probably bolted in terms of having any beneficial effect whatsoever.

| I would love a shiny new stadium or a revamped BV but with lack of funding from these buisness men who promised lots but delivered nothing and made their money from shafting people all their careers, moving would be a massive saving for Trin if we don't get any financial help, Rodney Walker well he's done a Stirling job so far

| Thought having Sir Rodney Walker on board would have been massive positive for us but what he done, you never hear anything from him.

Surely this is what is needing to be clarified, if we've reached the point where theres nothing to lose then lets lay everything on the line and name and shame everybody that's involved in the whole stinking mess.

| I don't know how to do links so please don't shoot the messenger On the Cas forum some one is questioning who the trust are actually negotiating with. The "developer" company ( Yorkcourt 2008 Ltd ) which is party to the S106 agreement is no longer in the hands of Yorkcourt or their directors ( Mackie and Jones ).
Shoremayne ( Yorcourt properties recent new name ) made a further loss of £1.5 million last year and the parent company are in debt to the tune of £31.5 million.
I don't pretend to understand it all but some one on here may.

| It tells us they don't have any intention to fund any sort of stadium development.

| We can slate anyone we like who has previously tried to bring it about, but it's as simple as this:
Trust: pay for our stadium, You promised.
Developer: we don't want to pay for your stadium, even if we did promise. Unless the council force us. Are you going to do that?
Council: we're not planning on doing that.
Developer: there you go. Dewsbury is that way.

| I've had a look on the council website and they claim that there isn't a section 106 in place. Merely a "unilateral undertaking"
rlhttps://www.wakefield.gov.uk/residents/planning/regeneration/wakefield-wildcats-stadiumrl
Is this the case? I was led to believe that the council had in fact signed a s106?

| It doesn't matter what it is. It's like a contract. Despite what a contract says, if a wronged party won't take action for non-compliance, it's worthless. The same here. It might as well be a cartoon elephant for the good it does.
