| Mathers 3rd try was my second favourite, that first London try was my favourite can't remember if that was initially Fox or Mathers fault. It was a cross between skill and laughable miscommunication.
Forwards laid the platform and both half backs played well.
It was an entertaining game anyway, enjoyed it.

| You need to sort out you right edge, it was very shakey, I think that is the area Saints will target.
Walsh is out I'm hearing so that is a massive plus, your forwards are big and strong so I don't think you'll struggle there either.
Off what I've seen it's your outside backs that let you down.
I wouldn't be too downbeat about London scoring though, the 1st try was a mixture of luck and skill, Solomona tries were well taken. The only one I thought weak was the Cook try.

| I find it amazing we have a thread questionning the selection of a player but not one about how we performed today. We once again concentrate on the negative. If fit Mathers will play next week and every other week after that. I would suggest you get use to it and find another topic to fill your time.
I bet Fox is much relieved he is currently not in your cross hairs. I personally never liked Henderson too small for prop and too slow for a centre plus he didn't know how to pass. I did not feel it necessary to point this out to the many of you who thought differently.
I did not agree with some of the actions when our current board took over but they have learnt what is required to run a SL club and have put together a much better squad than even they would of thought possible. I am big enough to accept that some of my initial conclusions have been proved wrong be it by good planning or just luck, either way if it allows us to survive I don't care.

Thank you agent XIII.
By the way Henderson was obviously a very limited RL player but had the heart of a lion and was as brave as they come. In your view can the same be said about Mathers?

| Full back can be a very lonely position at times, especially when your team is up against it.....always easier to lok better in a winning side than one under the cosh.....playing for a lesser side like us I guess there will be more down days than up.....
I like Mathers and think he brigs a lot to the side.....he's obviously not as poor as some are making out as he's had a great career playing something like 250 games at the top level.....played for trophy winning sides....continually selected by a number of very good coaches....
Hid defence is obviously the weak part of his game, anyone can see that.....sometimes I feel for fullbacks though, as once the defensive line is breached it's up to them, or it's more than likely going to end in a try.....the way I look at it, is it's a bonus if Mathers can pull off a tackle as the last line of defence.....he HAS done this in the past, but granted he aint the best....
He does bring a lot of other qualities to the side though....he's experienced, and one of the more vocal players.....a bit of an organiser.....I'd say his positioning for kick returns is good and more often than not is pretty safe with what comes to him......like ALL fullbacks he will drop the odd one.....more often when we are under pressure as a team.....and of course he can chime in with the odd try or 4 when we are playing well as a team and there's a bit of confidence through the side...
For where we are a Super League club though I'm more than happy to see Richie wearing the number one shirt.....think we'd struggle to get anyone else as good or better....

| You will be surprised to learn that there was more than one person critical of how the club was initially portrayed. I have posted before that all our recent owners have done things that have been both good and bad for the club.

I fully agree with you here.
Am I correct in thinking that you have had many years of involvement in RL? As have I.
The trouble is that 'tryscorer' thinks he is the only one with such credentials.
As for the ' you can't educate pork'. Assessing him on his literacy skills. He surely is 'pork'.

| Funny how two games against 2 bang average teams completely changes the sentiment on this board. Some people have short memories.

| We don't know for sure but Ben Jones Bishop's future at Leeds looked uncertain so he scored 2 tries.
Speculation that Richie Mathers is going elsewhere and he scores 4 tries.
Is anyone else under the microscope??????
