| I'm not singling out Aiton at all but he does get pulled for far too many forward passes for my liking. We were starting to get on a role today having just scored 12 points and momentum was with us. A forward pass from Aiton and Cas go up the other end and put the game to bed. There's no excuse for forward passes from the play of the ball.

Pauls a tackling machine and for a few games he's shown he can distrbute and scoot really well, it seems we struglle to allow him to play that way.
Pauls a far better player than the one we've seen lately imo.

Maybe extreme to say poop passer just been a really bad day, but did you see the passing from the play the ball today? It's worth noting, we all recognise his strengths but good crisp distribution from the PTB is a must and its a weakness in his game. Need a 2nd SL quality hooker to support him and Ellis was and still is up to it IMHO, a full 80 is too much for Aiton probably and will burn him out. Wood is not good enough Agar realises that now I think.
Saying that we were also woeful across the park, it's that bad it's difficult to know where to start. In such cases the starting place is usually the coach he has made some crazy signings and has let a good SL hooker go in Ellis.

| It is not just a case of calling for Agars head on a knee jerk reaction, there were players in that team today that need to takle a long hard look at how they played. The new guy Tautai did well but must have thought he has signed for a local pub team. Ben C, Tim S, Washbrook and Fox were absolute crap. This should have been a banker win for us but as I said last week I can't see where the next win will come from, top 8, not this year but we have got used to hearing we are a new team next season will be better (my ). Let Agar run the french team we need someone who can build a team who can play together as proffesionals not blundering amatures.

| Look you can all question Agars judgement as much as you want but with the squad he has been given all that was needed was a couple of injuries and a drop in form from a player or two and the bloke has no where to go.
As an example we started the season with one hooker, one half back and a stand off who was a centre/ fullback that we dropped lucky with. Wildie and Wood our only back ups are not SL class.
I seem to remember a great deal of Euphoria when the spirit of 1873 took over the club. I remember Andrew Glover been interviewed as he walked around the terraces saying "The clubs financial problems are now over" and "We will be spending the full salary cap"
The bottom line is whilst ever we spend less than everyone else in SL we have no right to expect anything other than being at the bottom of the plie. Its a miracle that we have won as many games as we have.
So sack Agar, bring in someone else but things won't be much different unless the new coach is given the financial resources that the other coachs have at their disposal.

| I said the same about JK and I will say it about agar. Saying we cannot get anyone better is no excuse to let someone fail to fulfil their job, which is coach the players so they look like there is a game plan and some decent structures in place.
It seems to me agar is relying on some off the cuff stuff to get us enough points to win games. The team seem incapable of earning territory and building pressure through good honest hard work.
Defence is atrocious and shows no sign of improving and the fight seems to have gone out of the team cos when the going gets tough too many if em go missing

No he said we wouldn't spend to the full cap, but would do it in stages

One hooker? Agar sold Andy Ellis and should have kept him to play off the bench rather than burn out Aiton for a full 80 mins.
On paper we have a good 19 SL standard players, quite a few with recognised representative honours from across the world with some good developing players like Annakin yet we play like a bunch of strangers with no composure, leadership, passion or structure. When it gets this bad you have to look at the coach and his coaching methods as we are getting worse every week, not at spending even more money through that coach.
We were outplayed by Cas today but they were dire defensively.

The point is we are not spending anything near the cap and have the lowest spend in SL so in fairness to Agar
(and I don't think he is that good a coach) we can't expect miracles and can't expect to be anything other than a club sitting at the bottom of SL.

He never came in and said we would be spending full cap as I remember it. He said and he reiterated it at the first fans meeting we did that, we would be working to spend the full cap in the next 3 years. He talked about doing it with the right marketing, business plan and getting bums on seats.
The one quote I can find staright from his lips is"secure the long-term future and give this historic club a fresh start under Spirit of 1873's ownership. At the core of our plans is securing the financial stability which will allow us to support the team on the field and give our loyal fans the experience and success they deserve."'"

So it is not Agars fault for signing e like Lyne and Molloy when the money could of gone to signing a decent interchange hooker or centre, if money is that tight.

Will not defend him re Lyne who looks like a bad signing but I do know the only reason we have Molloy is because he is very, very, cheap and his wage would buy an average hooker never mind a good one.

Molloy is no better than Mariano, Mellars, Walshaw or Trout. Whether he is cheap or not it was still a waste of money.
