| Quote: Theboyem "Wood will never be a superleague standard halfback for as long as he has a hole in his backside. Interchange hooker at best. With Sykes out i'd put Lee Smith there and play Cowling in the centres but Agar will stick with the same old same old. And just what does Molloy bring to the table that Mariano or Walshaw doesn't?
Certain irony that whilst we are sruggling for a stand off Issac John scores a NRL hat-trick for Penrith.'"
Got to agree with this post and previous especially the 'soft cock' comment as its very true I think. Lauitiiti's presence was badly missed but we folded in the second half when they up the physicality and thats just embarrassing when most of our pack are well over 6 foot and average 17 stone. Hang your heads in shame you should hand your pay back to the club for that crap ...
AGAR PLEASE TAKE NOTE
Wood will never in a million years be a SL standard stand off he is a impact player off the bench for hooker at best. He needs to put a stone on in the off season and also learn how to tackle to even be more effective next year otherwise get rid of him to championship.
Put Lee Smith at 6 and play Cowling at centre whilst Sykes is injured. We need experience at 6 and someone who can run with the ball if needed to put the opposition edge at some discomfort and he did this today in 1sy half beating 4 x Hull KR players to score.
Get Rid of Molloy first thing Monday morning to a Championship club. What are his stats? they must be shocking. Its a growing criticism of you as coach that you've signed him and are perserving with him rather than discreetly acknowledging that Mariano is the better player but just needs bringing into line whatever the issue with him is. Get Mariano back and coach the best out of him.
Get Tauiti's VISA sorted ASAP and lets hope he's come to play SL and not for a 12 month vacation touring the British Isles in his days off like the perception is with some.
Play him then as an extra prop at 13 and put Washbrook on the bench. Washbrook does not bring enough impact to the game creative wise or running out wide although he's got his fans but is well off form IMHO. He's not the player he was last season and could be one of the reasons amongst others that we've taken backward steps. He was top tackler in SL last year wasn't he?
I am well cheesed off with Trinity we just show too much loyalty to players and are also constantly looking for bargain basement buys like Molloy when we can't afford to gamble on them mid season.

Totally agree. My assessment of our position is, we have a light pack; we are 3 hard forwards of size short of being able to make inroads in this league. Tim Smith is capable of great moments but is way too error prone with loose passes and not kicking on the 6th/ kicking badly on the 6th, or kicking early in the count inappropriately. The mistakes today were comical were it not Wakefield I was watching. Is it the coach or the players? I don't know for sure, but I'm not at all convinced Agar is on top of all this. We've had 1 and 1/2 seasons now and we've been pretty poor for all but a dozen or so matches of that. Today was abysmal. I expect a response from Agar or the players immediately or I frankly think enough is enough for Agar

I am struggling to remember a more idiotic 45 minutes of Rugby League, than the last 45 of this game that we played today, from ANY club. Moronic is an understatement

1st time I have ever seen a side who have just coughed up the ball, then won it back and are in possession, get penalised for back chatting the ref...now that IS dumb..cost us a try when we had just taken the lead before half time and I feel was a turning point, though the number of errors in the 2nd half, it probably didn't matter.

Either way 28-0 in 2nd half against a team just above us not good enough and after limping out of the cup this seasons gone. Defeat to Cas next week should be Agar's last game in charge.'"
We can only hope. I've seen enough. Letting Mariano go has been a big one for me. If he can't see how that lad contributed to our best displays, then he cannot read a game at all

Whatever analysis you put on it, every week we seem to frequently have no idea what to do with the ball on the 6th tackle. Every week we put hopelessly optimistic attacking kicks in early in the count, whilst getting caught with the ball near the line on the 6th. Every week we give away ridiculous penalties for holding down or high tackles, the majority of which you cannot argue with. Every week we cannot organise our goal line defence. We had one good performance vs Catalans where, remarkably, we seemed to have learned....but this appears to have been a flash in tha pan. Can the entire squad be error prone idiots? I have to look to the coach I'm afraid. What are we doing during the week if we cannot practice a decent 6th tackle kick?

| Our attacking options ( on the very rare occasion that we got to the last play) were terrible again today, very similar to the hull FC game.
Rubbish kicking game, with no one contesting for the ball.
Terrible discipline and unforced errors.
And if I have to watch tim smiths drop off inside ball any more!!! Two games solid now , and it has yielded precisely naff all.

True...and in spite of the keystone cops who turned up in blue today, I enjoyed my day thanks to my Hull KR supporting friends who sat me down with them in the RM stand and a nice couple of pre match pints in Sensations.

Not interested in Hull KR ground I'm afraid although it is escapism talking about that rather than the shambolic appalling display today by WTW.
Smith put in some good touch line kicks today, no expert but why can't he be utilised more with his kicking game at 6 taking some of the pressure off Tim Smith to kick or orchestrate every attacking play? Surely he'll be an improvement on Wood? Teams now know get in our faces with some hits & close down T.Smith and Wakefield will fold.
The pack though are the biggest worry for me they misfire more than my old car!

| Yes the pack were very poor, Raleigh and washbrook seem to have gone backwards this season. Molloy did nothing wrong but so far does not look anything better than we already had.
Even annakin looked a shadow of his usual high energy self today.

Has anybody actually seen this fella play? Have we decided what position he plays yet?
How about we spend the (probably significant) resources we would potentially waste on him to looking after existing youngsters or developing new ones? We have been looking for the short term fix for years and we keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.

| What a complete and utter shambles of a day , 1st team inept and 19s atrocious , don’t know who at the club is the driving force (May be  Elliot Ness) but whoever it is needs to have a good look at their policy .Is the money ball theory working . e g resigning Andy Raleigh who had a really good season last year but looks blown this, as a against a young gun. There was an  example yesterdaywhich was clear to see , Who was the best Wakefield produced forward on the pitch  .It’s strange how we turn away from our own and sign others rejects .      Â
