On the Rugby front despite many injuries their team made up of mostly second teamers and juniors managed to hand our near full strength team their backsides in a basket earlier this season. So the cup draw should be good for us as on form we will get stuffed infront of a good size Hull crowd, so no winning pay to find but a good pay day as we get 50% of the gate money, after costs.'"
All joking apart i totally agree, a club we should take some examples from.
Just a shame a few fans let them down and have short memories.

| I have some affection for Hull FC - the wife is originally from there and her grandfather played for them back in the day.
I'm less keen on the modern iteration - I find the KC a soulless place and Mr Pearson's arrogance appears to have carried over to a few of their fans, as is evidenced by the visitors to this thread.
All that said, if we could get to where they are in terms of resources and facilities and suchlike, I'd be a happy camper.

| Its a game we can win if the side turn up in the right frame of mind thats for sure.Trouble is we keep showing we can score trys against the best of sides and let them in with the worst.
We will soon be following one example from Hull in a couple of seasons - playing in a nice stadium we dont own.

At last, a voice of reason is a sea of misguided confusion.
The big highlighted sort of vindicates the original point I made, many pages ago on this thread before a few who clearly are not bright enough started to chip in with cheap insults.
For the record I fully recall the days of the Boulevard and long may they remain in the past. It was a relic of its former self and was never the same place post 1989 (Hillsborough compounding the findings of the Higgingbotham enquiry).
I have no axe to grind against wakey as a club and the vast magority of your fans are decent. However, as was evidenced by this thread, there are one or two "Stevo's", you know, always look for the negatives and cannot see the positive in any situation. Hence the original point of my contribution to the thread, Hull were not as poor, in fact half decent, for the Easter Monday game. Irrespective of how poor the opposition is, the winning team will rarely be gifted a game without showing some form of quality, especially now Gansons retired.

I bet its a thrill a minute wondering of the new roof will be there after high winds, or the excitment of another sponsor going out of business. As a matter of interest did wakey pay for any of that roof or did they default like they did on the holiday flats??

A common message board fallacy, to pick out the only post that agrees with you and label it as the 'voice of reason.'
Me, I'm happy to continue swimming in the sea of misguided confusion, given that what I saw was that the game was crap, both teams were crap but Hull were marginally less crap, therefore they won the game.
Whichever way up, Hull won - the end.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

Even Shaun McRae in the Hull Daily Mail (I think it was Tuesday's edition) admitted that both teams had a poor game that day. Admittedly Hull's team was weakened by injuries.
I expected us to perform better on Easter Monday as I, like many of us here know that Wakefield can perform better than that.
Let's hope both teams perform much better in a do-or-die Cup battle and may the best team win.

| The last game between Hull FC and Wakey was a bit of a non-event. I'd fancy us to take Hull on our day, however if we play like we did against Hull last time then it could be a long afternoon. Similarly I'm sure Hull fans will fancy their team to beat us if they hit their straps. Potentially a cracking game.
