Cas have room at WR to do this - but it needs massive investment and a complete removal and re-building of the main stand side - the one with room behind it. This new stand could includ all the corporate facilities and offices necessary to run a SL club. That and putting a roof similar to our North stand over the railway end and some improvements to access and toilets would make WR a formidable yet functional facility. The trick is in locating the funds and they will need WMDC to help them do that. Good luck!'"

Of course our focus should be on Newmarket, what's happening at Cas shouldn't change this and I doubt it will. Like TRB says it's about RL in Wakefield for the next generation and the one after that and that certainly isn't at Belle Vue. If we want our club to be more than also-rans we need to move to a bigger and better stadia.

As much as I would personally rather stay at BV - the long term future is NM. |

As much as i'll miss BV, the future is Newmarket. It will happen soon enough, probably in the next fortnight. Why?
October 2010. I'm in Lanzarote, Wakefield council grant planning permission.
June 2012. I'm in Cyprus, Secretary of state grants approval subject to documentation being provided.
October 2012. We are still awaiting the final confirmation. It will happen. I go on holiday on monday.
It keeps costing me a fortune in data usage charges!
