Likely or wishful thinking? No one knows until the Planning Inspector holds the Inquiry

This is completely untrue! In the LDF (which is yet to be adopted) WR has been rejected as a housing only site, and is now part of a wider Special Policy Area - Keep Up
BTW at this moment in time WR is not classed anything, other than "White Land"

54709_1307880116.jpg Once a Sandal Wild Cat always a Sandal Wild Cat.
Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

So do you have to wait until the land is classified before you put in your application?
If it's not classified yet then you would assume that it would have to be judged upon current legislation (UDP) & not legislation that is about to be brought in (LDF)- just as NM was judged on UDP classification of being partially greenbelt.
Not wanting a slagging match (as NM will be delivered well before IMO ) just wanting your opinion.

I think with all that's happened since it was called in the signs are all pointing in the direction of a positive outcome, don't you agree?

Yep, and I fear it will be just in time to save Cas' bacon in the next franchise round! Cas playing in Wakey with Wakey in NL1 - nightmare scenario (for Cas as well, I reckon)?

"Stand by me as I stand by you, be brave and dare to dream".: |
|
| I take it your condemnation extends to all those who regularly attack the people of castleford too. It's just that you seem to have forgotten to quote the hundreds of posts from wakefield fans where they have made cruel and childish remarks and chosen to respond to one of the few posts where a castleford retaliates with a like for like comment.

You don't know if I'm wrong do you, your just hoping everything turns out well in the end. Thats what Ted did and look where it got us. Is there really anything cast iron to say that York Court have to build a SL standard size stadium or is there?
The whole system of franchise selection has changed. If the chances of us coming back up appear to be slim what need is there to invest in a larger stadium. Just look at Leigh a nice big ground that really is not needed considering the chances of them ever playing SL are slim ( under the present system).'"
I do. As far as I'm aware the Stadium is the core part of the development, without which it won't go ahead!
You need to understand, there is no connection between Yorkcourt and the club. The Staddium is being built for the trust who again have no connection with the club as a business. We will just be tenants, we won't own it though we may operate it. Yorkcourt should they get past the PI and are still wanting to go with the development will build the stadium as planned regardless of Wakefields current plight.
I know it sounds odd but that is how these things work.

The revised Travel Plan is something that should have been dealt with at the original submission. It is only one part of the Inquiry terms of reference.
I doubt that the fact that Leeds City Region ( A partnership bringing together the eleven local authorities of Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield, York and North Yorkshire County Council) announcing that “Aire Valley” ( Stourton) is their preferred location for the Enterprise Zone will have much bearing on the Leeds City Council submission to PI.
- It could even bolster the position of Leeds City Council who will want to attract as much development to that area rather than seeing it lost to NM.
So, enlighten me as to any other "developments".
