Hed beat a bloke up who was slapping his girlfriend around. Hes made silly remarks on a social website. He's been the passenger in a car that was involved in a police chase and a collision with a wall. He's also done lots of community (some involuntary admittedly at the request of her maj but lots volunteraly) work and raised plenty of money for various charites, donated items for auctions raffles etc. The bad stuff always gets publicised, yes he's not been the brightest spark but he is genuinely a decent bloke. I know some of you may find this hard to grasp but its wrong to cast aspursions on someone who you don't personally know. As for his playing abilities I'd welcome them at this moment in time, however I'd have it written in to any contract that any misdemeanours at all and you're gone.

I quite agree - the type of vicious and cowardly attack that could easily have killed the fella, or left him disabled.

And that's before the racism and drunk driving/police chase.

I know a court found him guilty of assault, and that there are good reasons why people are tried in front of impartial juries rather than friends who 'know them so well'. I know he publicly posted some pretty awful stuff that would get most people sacked who work in any sphere where their employer expects them to uphold public face. I'm not really in a position to comment on the last one, but your take on it would appear bland understatement.

I'm sure there were people who could vouch that Fred West built lovely extensions, but it is the burying bodies under patios people remember him for.

Supporting Wakey 30+ years I like rumours because they are usually better than reality. I'm just hoping like mad we get a licence if not just hope we a good business plan and NM comes off so we can get back on SL at the next earliest opportunity. Saying that if franchises are handed out fairly we should be in due to the strength of our app compared to others

Latest one I have heard is that Quins are pulling the plug and voluntarily dropping down, and that we too are getting the boot, to be replaced by 'Fax ...time will tell I suppose....
