I love the way our supporters are immediately suspicious of a transfer and look straight for something that is most likely not there.'"
Sounds spot on. As talented as he is, his experience may have been lost, but the club have done the right thing.

I thought with the recent takeover you were "stable" and less in need of the cash, or, has planning started in the assumption you may not get a franchise so are happy to play the younger players more regularly to prepare for next year?'"
We are!
We don't!
Interesting that you still see us as a small selling club and that Bradford have the whip hand in this deal.
Maybe Wakefield have used Bradford to offload a player that's been injured almost the whole season so that we can clear the way for our youngsters or a new exciting signing. We might of used Bradford to offload BJs wages so that we can bring in AN Other player.

I know what you mean, there is a thread on the Bulls site where they are discussing the possible signing of Stefan Ratchford from Salford. Quite a few of them are questioning whether a mere Salford player is good enough to push them forward. Can someone put them out of their misery and tell them that the glory days are gone and they are just "another club" these days.

| Interesting comment from JK saying that BJ has moved for his own and his familys future.
Not wishing to be negative but does this mean the future is brighter with the Bulls or an acceptance that we wont be in SL next season.

| Or could it just be they came with a ridiculous too good to turn down offer and he said yes. Therefore securing his future with more money than his Wakey would have provided.

| It's also telling that they don't think Southernwood is ready yet. Wouldn't have helped to keep him with us either then.

It would chime with what some said when we re-signed him that the cheapness of his contract meant he was too much of a bargain not to sign.
Maybe now they won't have to buy such cheap white bread.

| Slight o/t but just to counter any negativity there may be about BJ move, Elston says on twitter that Hickey visa has been applied for and waiting news on a timescale and Wildie has been offered a 4 year contract

Cash & regular rugby. Bradford are desperate for him, they enquired before. Their Halves are woeful
Quote: wrencat1873 "Not wishing to be negative'"
Change the record, your always negative
Quote: wrencat1873 "does this mean the future is brighter with the Bulls'"
I think it's generally accepted Bradford are safe in this round of Franchises, so yes their imminent future is brighter, BJ is 30 (i think), therefore he's got 2/3 years left. Quite simple
Quote: wrencat1873 "or an acceptance that we wont be in SL next season'"
Not really, we've got alot of young players who need to develop, we've also got BJ who has played 5 games this season on decent cash probably not justifying it. It's probably a good deal for both clubs and also looks like we're clearly space for a big signing.

| We dont really go for long term contracts, instead we have the revolving door at the end of each season.
On what we have seen this season, we should be trying to tie up the youngsters on 5 year plus contracts and then improve as required.
