WE ARE WAKEFIELD, WITHOUT THE RICHARDSONS’ WE ARE STRONGER:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42850.jpg

Quote: TRB "Plan B - which has been in discussion for around 12 months - is likely to be what most people imagine it to be, but may not be. In deference to the other parties involved, and their own requirements to advise their own supporters of the deal, it was agreed that any announcement would come at a later date.

Those present were asked their views, as shareholders of the club, as to the feelings towards GH, and towards other loactions. Despite a couple of comments re GH, most were dead set against the idea.

It was confirmed that it is possible that we could stay at BV in the event of us not recieving a licence - at least until NM is built.

NM is viable whether in SL or NL, but of course is ultimately based on SL.

There are other issues which were discussed and I would advise all existing Shareholders to ensure that they make sure the club have your correct details so that you can be mailed to.

Onwards and upwards!'"

Sorry TRB, but to even mention GH after publicly announcing we would not go there in the summer just makes Ted and the club look even dafter.

By the sounds of it, the stadium issue is not our most immediate problem - clearly if we are relying on outside investment and need it soon, but have no plan b that can be announced and no knowledge about the licence decision till July - we are totally screwed

Quote: Töm "buy some shares in the club and you'd know. What give you the right as joe public to know what the goings on of a limited company are?'"

Yeah!
You're right Tom, none of this half in half out stuff, if someone can't afford to buy shares as well as shirts, season tickets, merchandise and travelling costs then they should accept being treated as second class or they know what they can do.

I wonder how many have waited with baited breath for news of the clubs future and then having been treated with distain have said THAT'S IT!

Quote: Töm "Me and my family are season ticket holders, shirt buyers, etc and cut holidays short to support the team through thick and thin. Do you not think that us mere fans - or Joe public as you called us - need to know what is happening.

We are losing fans left, right and centre and i for one can not blame them for voting with their feet.

No doubt the club will want us to get behind them, ie put our hands in our pockets again, well if my and my families input is not needed i will leave it to you and your fellow shareholders to bail us out.

The only thing the clubs management is doing at the moment is alienating the fans even further.'"

Well said, I can't add much to that sentiment.

Regarding the finance side of tonights meeting, would I be right in assuming that one of the things put to shareholders was about increasing the amount of cash coming into the club?
If so were the shareholders given options, yet another share deal and another option?
If so is the reality of enough cash being generated based on previous such deals, basically a dead end street?

Basically it sounds looks like they were letting the shareholders know that if the club goes into admin that shareholders are one of the last to be paid on the creditors list

Nobody is saying there is no plan B, the details have to be released when it is beneficial for ALL parties not just Wakefield.
Now is the time when ALL Wakefield fans need to rally behind the club and do what you can, if not it is simple we will not have a club.

To be fair GH was mentioned to give the Shareholders the ability to formaly reject any chance of considering it which they did so that end that.

There is a viable Plan B to cover us until Newmarket comes forward but has been said until all the i's have been dotted and the t's crossed the club do not wish to make a formal announcement. That will be done in conjunction with the other party at the appropriate time. Plan B is financially viable and would enable us to function satisfactorily until Newmarket is built.

The Club is seeking new investment, that's no secret, they have been seeking it for sometime now and have had setbacks and will continue to seek that investment but whether you wish to believe the fact that we have a Plan B or not is up those reading these forums.

If thats the case then the club need to start to make the fans (and not just those with shares) feel as important as they clearly are. You can't expect people to come out and spend more money when they are told nothing or anything that does come out is negative.

The club has been poorly run for far too long - there needs to be some plans from the club as to how they are going to address the issues - as I have said before, reducing the price on the gate might help for a start

Was a timescale for the public enquiry discussed and are Yorkcourt still committed to the project?

time scale is anything from 6 months to 18 months and Yorkcourt are still 100% onboard to deliver the stadium.

Which is some good news to come of it all

Then marketing it as the last season is a bit naughty.

Not having a go at you SC, but how can it be described as financially viable if we are in desperate straits already without having to pay rent to anyone - moving out of the area for a season will imo reduce the gates from regular fans, and there is no guarantee that the shortfall will be made up from new fans in the area the stadium we are to use is located. Unless Belle Vue is more expensive to run than the rent on the plan B
