Here's a start,
Russell Klein
Rod Snell
Don Swanston
Ronnie Troutman
Alfie Songoro
Robert Piva
World beaters to a man
We could have got lads off Eastmoor or Normy who would have done just as well or better. In fact we did. Richard Slater and Nigel Bell to name but two.

Yeah, you are right! It did seem a little bit like my mates dad's barbers florist-ish! But it wasn't meant to be like that!

Don't forget Clinton O'Brien think Gareth Gates frightened him off! Matt Sears five bottles of beer in a broken hand, or man of glass Dallas Hood all legends. Got to be the only time our entire overseas quota has been walking through the crowd selling raffle tickets!

Dallas Hood. The best overseas raffle ticket seller ever recruited by a Super League side.

| Regarding transfer fees. You must be able to get something as Sam Burgess was contracted to Bulls and Souths had to pay top whack for him so we are due money for tronc. Even if a Rugby union club wants a league player if he is under contract they still have to pay and thats a different sport. I am not chuffed he's leaving but not getting anything out of this is a bum deal.

I guess it depends on if the club see any value in keeping a player or not - Smith didn't seem to be picking up the idea of standing around bored and kicking the ball away at every opportunity, whereas Tronc is/was an important part of the team line-up.
Will we get a fee? I very much doubt it. Maybe a pre-season game at Lang Park…

Based on Tronc's performances since his homesickness was revealed i don't thing Trinity would get much value out of him staying at the club.
A transfer fee would be welcome (at the very least Trinity should get back the costs of Tronc's brief stay), but the 'reports' thus far talk about releases rather than transfers.

If he is he can't really complain about facilities on offer, they have such a good all-weather pitch that Leeds Utd used it for training purposes when they were in the PL.

| If it's true and he's leaving after the Quins game I don't think we are going to see anything from him in his last games for us - far more important for him to stay injury free I would have thought.

| Kear said on the radio tonight that we are looking for a player, but the problem is prising them away from their club, and that they all obviously want a long-term contract to make the move. But he also said he then has to consider whether they fit into our long-term plans, or if they could never be more than just a stop-gap measure and we would want rid at the end of the season.
Negotiations are still on-going, but he did say it is a question of when he goes, not if he goes.
Another excellent, genuine and honest interview with Kear - even when the "revolving door" (his words!) is getting a bit beyond a joke, listening to him talk about the club reminds me why there is still so much hope for this season.

Kear is fantastic with the media, as is JD. We're very lucky to have 2 ambassadors for the club like that.
