Unlucky guys thought you deserved it. Thought shaul should of being pulled up for knock on instead of them getting penalty and try. And all sky guys including Stuart Cummings said it should of being awarded he played Finn on side

I can only say that had the team played some of our previous games with the enthusiasm they displayed tonight we would be in the top 6.
Pleasant surprise because I thought we were in for a hiding. As it is we were very unlucky to lose.

Just shows how they've tinkered with the rules over the years & not kept folk updated as I was adamant that the kicker played everyone onside. As said previously Finn wasn't even involved in the play. Hey ho!!

Afraid not. As Finn was (just) in front of the kicker he has to stay at least 10 metres away from the opposition player challenging for the ball (i.e where the ball drops) whether Hall runs through and touches it first or not and whether he affecrs they play or not. If he'd have been half a metre further back when it was kicked or a couple of metres to the right he'd have been ok even though nothing would have changed either way. Stupid rule but its there. |

Well im confused,the only offside ruling i can find is taken from the RFL website.

Placed onside 3. An off side player is placed onside if:
(d) one of his own team kicks or knocks the ball forward and takes up a position in front of him in the field of play. |

If Campbell had indicated a try before sending it up would Bentham have disallowed it? We'll never know but I have my suspicions that answer would be no.
