| Amor is finding form again of late. That said we really missed Poore's aggressive style tonight I think.

| We were beaten by a better team on the night...plain and simple!
We lacked any go forward at all in the first half and after a not bad opening 15 minutes or so, Hull had a purple patch of about 10-15 minutes where they ultimately won the game.....through that period and right up to half time we were as bad as I've seen this season and were extremely lucky not to be 30+ points behind....
We were much, much better 2nd half and the forwards got much more into it and our go forward was a lot, lot better.......it was a killer to go 20 points behind as that was a mountain to climb.....we had plenty of possession and territory we just couldn't turn it into points.....just sheer strength from Ali got him over......if we could have scored again pretty quick after that and got back to 20-12 with 15 to go then who knows but Hull's defence was tremendous and they were very worthy winners in the end I thought....
It will hopefully be a learning curve for us and hope we can pick ourselves up and get some points on the board in the next few games.....there's some winnable ones coming up.....thought we badly missed the presence of someone like Poore tonight, especially in that first half....
Ah well.......well done to Hull...

| It was never going to be easy at hull, just hope the team can put some good results together. Looking at the table and recent results for us to finish in the top 8 we will be looking to replace either Bradford or St Helens Bradford would be my bet at the mo.

| To not beat superleague opposition for ten seasons just isn't good enough. A good cup run is worth plenty for the club coffers, make no wonder we are always skint.

How many of those defeats are people honestly believing we 'should' have won though??
There looks some tough opposition for the majority of those defeats and with our means and resources, in knockout football we have absolutely no right whatsoever to have much of a better record than we have out of the above fixtures....
Last night we were just beaten by a better team on the night.....a team playing at home and a team who were able to go out and sign players like Gareth Ellis & Daniel Holdsworth in the off season....
As disappointing as it is to be knocked out of a competition we shouldn't really be 'expecting' to go to places like Hull and knock them out......should we?

And in all those games the 3 we did win were against, with respect, 3 of the poorer SL teams.

Correct. Salford (who weren't in SL at that time), Barrow and Oldham.
Then Hull in s/final.

| The best team won, pure and simple, Yeaman pulled of 5 or 6 textbook ankle tackles on Collis which stunted any threat from Fox out wide. Horne and Holdsworth were dominant but for me, the dilatory play of Smith again at fullback was again disappointing. Tightening up our defence after 20 minutes when our opponents had crossed three times was too little too late. No complaints on the night.

| Our defenders were often guilty of not playing to the whistle, instead choosing to wait for decisions on obstructions (dodgy ones at that). Schoolboy stuff I know, but true all the same. The Hull defence was excellent all night though, suspiciously, very quick off the mark. Deffo missed Poore last night, and all our plays were very easy to read. Never mind there,s always next year!

Yes. You have to have belief look at Wigan FC beating Man City in FA Cup Final today. They are 16 places lower than them with a small squad yet win 1.0, not enough real upsets in RL nowadays.
