Technical point, but as a result of the CVA he's not 'owed' this money.
There's a bigger issue as to whether that is 'fair', but that's where we are!

| Bobby junior ripped our under20s apart at belle vue earlier this year. I must admit that that is the only time i have seen this lad play. but he looked rather good.

| It's def his son (snr. comes to most Wire games especially when U20's were playing a pre-game as a curtain raiser) - excellent young prospect; good rugby brain, and good kicker, not just dead balls but in-play as well.
Problem was Wire have got at least 3 in front of him under 25, not to mention a few good old'uns still here, so had he stayed, game time would've been minimal.

I appreciate he's not everyone's cup of tea but I his son is half as good then we've got a quality player who can learn his trade under Tim smith. I asked foul ding senior if his son had signed and he said no mate he's in cancun. Make of that what you will.'"
Really? Didn't know that. I suppose that puts a different light on him. Anyway it's about the Goulding younger. Hope this works well for us

I have spoken to both him and Francis Maloney about the whole episode and felt quite bad about giving them a hard time.
As a fan, sometimes your club can do no wrong, but when its your job and its paying your mortgage and your getting screwed for quite substantial sums i can completely understand his/there bitterness.
Anyhow, if his son is as good as his Dad was/could have been, we have got a good 'un.

It's like all things especially BV things.
I too feel some sympathy for all the players involved including Goulding. Some took it better than others, and if there was ever a player who was going to take it badly it was Bobby - and he had every right too.
However it was never the club that was at fault but rather one person - a certain John Pearman. At the point these top players signed he had taken over the club and was the CEO. He owned the majority of the shares.
Except - he didn't. All the documents were signed but the money never appeared. Then as it all unravelled he did a runner leaving the rest of the BOD with a team they couldn't afford to pay. Hence the CVA.
Pearman was without doubt one of the biggest con men ever to grace RL let alone Trinity - and he was the ex leader of the WMDC!
So the guy who actually owes him the dosh is living somewhere in Amsterdam on last reports.

| Why did Pearman do this? I seem to remember he had land that he was going to sell?

| Problem was, although it was "the club" that Goulding a Maloney had issues with, it was the fans who were the target of their taunts and gestures at that final game at Salford.

And you don't think that was a reaction to the fans taunting them???
6 and 2 3's IMO - and should be left behind us now!

That was the site for the McAlpine proposal - circa 1998.

| In an old Express article they refer to the land as being 'a site on the M62 corridor between Stanley and Whitwood'.
