| Seem the Warrington one last week on the 62 and the Wakefield one parked outside a corner shop at Widnes.

| not seen one myself and by judging some of the posters it seems people notice the odd one now and again. But don't forget we are already the 'converted' and will be looking out for them. Joe public needs to see them much more often for them to register. I really can't see how this sponsership deal will net the RFL some of the figures quoted.
Anyhow if Nigel Wood and co are correct in their valuation of this deal no doubt the trading accounts of the RFL will show at least a £1M increase in the next 12/24 months.

| i too was thinking about starting a thread about this. last week i drove the M62 to liverpool and back, passed the depot at J41 twice and went to sheffield and back.
still not seen one. they are rarer than something that is rare!!
i think this is turning into a big home goal for the RFL

Without wishing to be hyper-critical of the RFL - I saw the picture on the side and recognised the kit and/or the player; if you're not a fan, I fail to see what impact that would have if you were flashing past the thing at 70 on a busy motorway.
Looks like a good deal for Stobart and an awful deal for RL; it has the hallmarks of a last minute thing, done because the season was about to start and there were no better offers on the table; personally, I'd have been ok with the bookies - gambling may be a problem for some people, but so is booze, yet we seem comfortable with Magners.

I also had no problem with the bookies. I know a bloke who was quite high up with a transport company as big as stobarts. He reckons he would have took the bookies £750K and then could have put the same amount of advertising on the same number of wagons for £250K

| Perhaps these trailors are being used in scotland, south coast etc rather than in the heartlands of the game?

| I saw two last Thursday (I think they may secretly be buses) the Castleford one was headed east on the M62 about 8ish in the morning when I was stuck in a traffic jam, and I saw one heading west on the M62 as I was on my way home; I think it was the London one but I'm not certain as I was driving in the opposite direction at the time.

| i have heard the wigan one has been removed from the roads as it had a picture of loveable sam tompkins smug face on the back and people were constantly ramming it.
there is no wakey lorry as it is now a shudds lorry as it got there on time a couple of times.
and you will notice the cas lorry as it has an odd number of wheels.
the london lorry is a lot smaller but under rfl guidance it IS A LORRY! not a van.
and of course, sigh, rather predictably, the widnes lorry is the one without the wheels
all merely heresay and will not stand up in court as they are allegations made by people i met and not my own views
