| The Glover days were mental, I think he soon realised how difficult the task is and packed it in. I'm sure he just used it as free advertising for his business.
That and for getting drunk every game in the bar.
Didn't we have Francis Stephenson and Nick Fozzard doing the same job at one point?

It was a bit of advertising yes, but then at the same time, his TV advertising had the Wildcats logo there too, so that can be deemed as advertising.
I think Francis and Nicks time at Wakefield were at different times.

| Glover did half the job really well.
If you could merge him with Carter you'd have the perfect owner/CEO.
His marketing and publicity for Trinity was great.....just didn't keep an eye on the pennies so much.

Pretty much agree with that statement.
Having said that, he was not the only person on the board who was made aware of the financial status, or authorised to make payments on behalf of the club. All financial reports, such as aged creditors/debtors, cashflow etc, was presented to everyone involved in the fortnightly board meetings.

He certainly did.
Also for his sins, a certain person, with fingers in loads of pies, not too poplular with Wakefield fans, put his hand in his pocket to pay an unpaid tax bill of around £175k.
Where would we be now, if that hadn't of got paid when it was?

I hope you are joking!
It took Ted 15 years to bankrupt the club, it took Glover 18 months to do the same. Trinity have dad some appalling leadership through the years, but Glover is second only to Pearman. who bankrupted the club in less than 6 months.
You and everyone else are entitled to your opinion on Carter, but re-writing history you're not, compared to those two in particular he's a genius.

| Just remind us who was the accountant and therefore financial advisor at the time of Glover’s reign and what amount of money that he invested did he take back out because I presume the amount he didn’t is included in the director’s loans on the accounts.

You can go back years and it's always been tje same, ted stepped up to try and make and difference and to save the club, he wheeled and dealed, sold players but we seemed to be mostly competitive. Ted ruined his own legacy at the club with his own actions. Glover then steps up when there was no one else to save the club, appoints jimmy go gun oh at it and we end up in the mire. Glover was pumping 50 grand of his money a month in and didn't RW pay the 170 grand hmrc bill. Carter sat on the board while more debt was run up then basically at the last minute carpet bagged the club with the condition Glover would write the directors loans off. What motive a hull fan would have for getting involved with us who knows. So he steps in and as been said many times he saved the club but as since started running it into the ground or circumstances behind the scenes have led to this.
From where I'm sat it looks a mess, the fans coughing money up for shares for a lawnmower, we can't sign players and it looks like it's going the same way of the previous regimes, the hope as gone and coming out with silly statements doesn't help. You can't knock anyone for trying vasty, they've give it a shot, 2 years 1 year 10 year it's all the same
