Is this the under 15s playing against open age or something? Your making it sound like this isn`t a group of professionals on a level playing field with every team in the league, this is there job and they earn good money for it and fans pay good money to watch them, you can argue about the salary cap, that's maybe a few more quality players but seriously? Pleased we gave it a go?

I certainly don’t want to see us fail if anything that mantle belongs to the club by looking to extend Chester’s contract despite season after season of the same. I think that those who see his shortcomings are the ones wanting the best because we have tried the alternative without success.

Poptart makes these claims all the time, the other day he said anyone who was talking about not renewing there season ticket probably never had one to begin with. Bizarrely, he can`t see that a lot on here just want the best for the club, which in my opinion is not giving a coach that is quite obviously failing and failing badly a new 3 year deal.

Erm no I have been watching since the 60s as usual you make an assumption. I agree with you though that on the whole the scoreline was better than expected. After all some on here wanted to through the game for 24-0 and your post about the number of players was again an assumption and a usual dig at anything you can surrounding the team

Well I ve been either a season ticket or family season ticket holder since 1979 and gave the club my money last year didn’t buy a ticket this year, normally buy at least one for my kids to use either.

Club has lost its way, it’s a business not a kindergarten, charity or school where to participate is to be a winner .

Over the years have seen some crap interspersed with games of sheer magic , never once have I lost faith in the clubs future. But now don’t see just how we are going to do anything but slowly turn into a Batley or fev.

Positives about losing every week wheres there positives.no fan wanted them to roll over but no matter how you look at it its another loss and think fans like yourself wont be happy till where playing championship rugby

Must just be me but conceding 40 points never constitutes an acceptable result. Spirited yes, effort definitely but that is the bare minimum we should get every game. That team today only had probably 4 out of the first choice 17 missing (for me Kay pips Kershaw and Walker over Josh Wood) which is the same as Catalans. I’d like our expectations to be better than that result today. Still the club and some of the fans seem happy so things must be rosey.

I haven't seen anyone on here actually claim to be not renewing their own season ticket
As for the 'a lot of people' you speak of..... They and you want what they think is best for the club..... I just don't always agree with your opinion about what is best for the club.

I was actually being sarcastic but I admire your loyalty to a failing coach. We lost by twenty but just how much did this impact our win percentage.
It is clear we went with the minimum number of players and staff so in fact if the game had not gone ahead we would have a point difference which is worse by 4 points. We would have however avoided the risk of further injuries and also save the club transportation costs which looking at the above was a factor for the club and our percentage would be the same.
With regards the players it was Chester who said that the two missing did not have a great impact on the team and that he was going with a squad of 17.
I will give you an opportunity to enlighten us as to why you think retaining Chester is good for our future because I have not seen many on here except PT jumping to his defence.

You have done it again assuming I am in the Chester camp! Just because I do not vocally dig every opportunity to pull him apart. It's a results game and they speak for themselves. What I will say the last 2 seasons for sport has been a complete shambles. People have found other things to do, the sport is led by the wrong people. I support the club and given the game situation I am happy to put a line in the sand and look forward to 2022 alas I think on the horizon things will change for the sport and I not for the better. What we have is some great young talent coming through we may need it. I can see RL plodding it's much bigger that the Chester out crusade and much bigger than Trinity. I will let you get back to half or most empty glass.
