I agree, but "t'was ever thus".
It's a shame the posters I used to enjoy have by and large left, but it's only a forum after all. I'm still free to ignore it, which I do most of the time now. |

Like it or not, this is not "OUR" club as the fans voted with their closed wallets when Ted asked for the bailout ahead of going into Administration. The club is a PRIVATE company who we can choose to buy tickets & merchandise from or not.
I'm sure it's not slipped anyone's attention that the whole country has been facing financial difficulties over the last few years, so is it really that surprising that one of the lesser teams (let's face it - that's what we have been in recent years) in the top flight of what is (at best) the fourth most popular sport in the country has had some financial difficulties of its own over the same period?
Of course we'd all like to know the TRUE details about the day-to-day business at Belle Vue, but none of us (except Daddycool  ) actually have the RIGHT to know these things.
If anyone feels they can run the club better, then I'm sure AG would be happy to listen to their offer for his shares if they have the cash to back up their aspirations. If they don't then the best thing to do is keep buying the tickets & merchandise rather than constantly looking for the "bad news" and spinning it further out of proportion on the internet. |

It ceased to be our club in 1983 when the club became a company and not a members club.
It ceased to even have shareholders unto whom the board were answerable in 2010.
What don't you get?
Despite your pomposity it is not our or as you probably see it your club anymore.
You are a paying customer nothing more with a product you can either buy or not as you see fit.
RL is about money now and you don't I assume have any to invest so shut up moaning. This is the modern game full of sharp suits and big money, it's exactly what people on these forums have been greedily demanding for years including us.
Be careful what you wish for as we the club supporters and the game as a whole might get what it deserves. |
