smith did not cover himself in glory but the ref relies a lots on his assistants and theses were in fact dire ... the refs dont tackle .... maybe Cooke could have a new career

Not seen it mentioned elsewhere so I will ask the question. It looked early on in the first half that George scored from a Cooke pass. Why was it disallowed? Forward pass? Couldn't see from our angle.

Forward Pass, by at least three yards.
It did look like King scored though on the play preceding that. |

It was deffo forward to George.
King didn't quite reach the line.
If only either of those had counted it may just have offset Obst's abysmal kick after that 1st set.  |

Wigan were very well drilled, and coasted in a game where Trinity tried but unfortunately we didnt have any
ideas in attack and struggled desperately. Wigan's defence was exceptional.
I thought Smith made some very dodgy decisions, he does come across as very one sided when reffing, at times he's been for us, many times against. He's a weird man
