| Quote REDWHITEANDBLUE="REDWHITEANDBLUE"Oh[u dear that will not fulfil the criteria for the franchise as the clubs were told that things must be in place for the start of the 2012 season[/u, another interesting case for the RFL, I really hope Cas and Wakey give them a real headache, Cas top of the league this season, Wakeys performance over 3 years, the financial issues, the crowds, the community programme what an interesting ride this will be, so where does this leave salford?'"
Could well be they have or will change this and that Cas are aware of it.
RFL will do exactly what they want and while i'm sure they are happy not to have to deal with Ted and Co it may not be enough to save us.
We'll see.

| If it was up to me i would make it a 16 team competition by adding Widnes and Halifax With each team playing each other twice with one team loosing a home game for the magic weekend. I would limit overseas players to 2 per side and that includes Catalans Crusaders and Quins and this would give more local tallent a chance in SL. Also more games would create more revenue which would offset the loss of sky money when it is split between 16 instead of 14.

The bigger clubs will never go for it and will have budgeted for the Sky money already over the next 3 years, i could live with your idea but sadly i can't see it happening.
The only way it would happen is if Sky wanted it.

| Quote Gaslight="Gaslight"Yes, stating a FACT given by the council, towards a comment about the Featherstone stadium is clearly showing nerves
I know you lot just can't help but comment on everything I say but you'll have to help yourself
Oh, and just wait for the next announcement about the stadium - that comment by Glover does sound very Ted like though, I mean why did he drag Cas into something they aren't involved in/something they don't want to be involved in?....well unless he's trying to make Cas look bad because they're doing well.
Which was the conservative estimate, could be as low as 9 or as high as 13.'"
Give it a rest, have you learnt nothing?
You and your mate dettor are absolute fantasist. I'd like to think you don't really believe the claptrap you write, but I suspect you do. You have both been telling us all for at least the last three years that work will start next month, their must be a condition that shrinks have for people like you. You have absolutely no idea what's next, it's sad as is your child like trust in what RW says despite the fact he's delivered virtually nothing in 10 years. Still I suppose if you keep stabbing furiously in the dark you'll hit the target eventually.
9-10 million, for a new 12,000 seater stadium, is it being built from cardboard?
Personally I don't think either of us will get any kind of a project running before 2013. You have noticed the state of the world at the moment?

Not sure what point you're making here.
Also remember you live in a country that at least appears to value community assets and spends accordingly - don't imagine the same process exists in the UK.

Also in France the local council builds and owns the vsat majority of stadia as well as paying for their upkeep.. (I do not know if this is the case with Catalans ground)

The RFL are not going to kick Salford out because, and quite rightly IMO, Peel, Salford Council and the club would make an application to the High Court within seconds of being kicked out and would fight this every step of the way... you don't invest £20m and not defend your right to have the best possible opportunity to realise the potential of that investment. The RFL would also most probably lose if it did end up in court as well!

Agree. I think the CAS plan is worse than Wakeys and is essentially to keep evertyone thinking a stadiums coming until their franchise competitors are removed.
Seriously what is happening to Cas stadium. Why is it taking this long? Planning permission, funding etc has been there for ages according to CAS fans. Every once in a while there is a news story about buy a brick, planning, architects etc but still nothing happening.
I really hope (but doubt) the RFL can see that in terms of stadiums Wakey/CAS are the same, ie nothing but talk so far and until diggers start then the stadium should be classed as just this.

So if that is the Cas plan (which it isn't), please tell us what the Wakey plan is.
