To be fair Hampshire has never let us down in any of the positions he has played for us ,wing included . A cracking all rounder and a super sub if not in the starting 13 ,who can play all the back line positions ,and I’d say an invaluable squad member .

That would work great IMO

It is a position that is up in the air, but. having to make changes at 9 through injury to bring in a more attacking player ,shows the way we should go Know we are playing against the so called smaller clubs ,but the ball movement is a lot faster, so we are beginning to make overlaps

Think some peope think been an hooker is just about been at the ruck to move the ball on well and take a run now and again but for me it is about the defence too and not out wide like a half back or a winger but in the midde where the big boys are

I’m not saying he’s Richard swain or of similar tackle ability by any means but to say he can’t tackle is really harsh

He’s an atrocious defender and any side would take advantage of this

I agree he's not defender you'd want at hooker but you are way over the top with your comment.
He defends like the average half back does that's all.

If he's as bad in defence as some make out, why has he put in decent shifts at full back, a position you need to get good in defence

Nowhere near as bad as Alex Walker

Randal and woods were our best combo in a long time ,Randal with his tackling and woods with his scoots from the half ,really got the team on the front foot .. Plenty can deputise at hooker but Robies and Clark’s are few and far between in the modern game ,and obviously out of our price brackets ,so we go with our best options and to be fair the lads aren’t making a bad fist of it anyway .
