| Bren2k, Greg Johnson is not surplus to requirements at Huddersfield. As you know Richard Thewlis well enough to have a pet name for him, you will also know that he is very good friends with a certain Mr Kear. He is doing a friend a favour. Josh Griffin has unfortunately not pushed on as much as other young players and seems to have other goals in life at the moment.

Can he does us an even bigger favour, and let us have Danny Brough back, then ???

| Quote: I believe that Wakefield will soon register them once their move out of administration is rubber stamped. We have as a club a large squad and remain of the view that our depth of squad is sufficient and indeed are not adverse to looking at loan or dual registration moves for our younger players to gain first team experience such as that enjoyed by Jamie Cording and Kyle Wood with Sheffield Eagles at the weekend.”'" :27oxym7p]
I think that part of the quote tells you it wasn't benevolence.
The only class being show in Huddersfield of late has imported from Wakefield and Australia. "Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis spoke to giantsrl.com;
“I believe it is in both players best long term interests to make this move and had no hesitation in agreeing to their requests for a release. Neither move is related – they were separate conversations held by myself yesterday and previously with the players and their representatives and for differing reasons both players I feel needed a fresh start.

The only complaining that's still going on seems to be from one or two wounded little soldiers on the Hudds board, who can't get over the criticism that was directed at your club when it appeared to be attempting a smash and grab raid on WTW during a time of extreme crisis.

As I said originally and very correctly on page 3 of this ridiculous thread, the Administrators were obliged to accept offers on players. The individual players agents are the ones who offered the players out to clubs and the individual players signed their names on contracts. The images and words of Ferguson don't suggest he put up a fight and was forced to sign.
The title of this thread is 'shudds now after our juniors' and as I pointed out that was never the case.
You're clearly blind to the help that has been given you. How many of the other 12 Superleague clubs have GIVEN you players for free? Not just loaned, GIVEN.

Jeepers, they make 'em stubborn in t'uddersfield; you signed Dale Ferguson and, to make room under the (comedy) cap, you released two fringe players, one of whom is being questioned by the police for an incident that could see him banged up; hardly a massive loss.
Forgive me if I don't prostrate myself at the steps of the Goatfarm and give praise for Nathan's magnanimity; that'll be because there hasn't been any.
I genuinely hope Dale Ferguson does well by the way - he's a talented kid and your set-up might bring him on in leaps and bounds. Do try to get him to cut off that big fat gypsy rat-tail though; it looks a right bugger.

We did not need to release them for cap reasons ( we did have enough to sign Murphy hence had money available). We also could not have released them without paying them off. The only way they could be released was with Mutual consent. The only way they would have agreed was if they had another club to go to. hence their must have ben a gentlemans agreement with wakey that they would be happy to sign those two players when released ergo Wakey must have been happy to have them.
I believe under SL rules you cannot have more than 4 loan players. By releasing them you get two players to strengthen your squad and can then bring in OTHER loan players.
If it was with the agreement of Wakey this be done then it is not a case of us dumping players you did not want.

With reference to the rats tail. I thought we'd got rid of ours with Finnegan signing for Widnes. Bloody typical that we sign another.
Enjoy the moment and hopefully Glover can lead you into a period of stability and prosperity.

Korky is a Wakefield player , his move was made permanent as part of the Brough deal.

Might be wrong here, but I think Korky's loan period was extended up until the end of the 2011 season effectively leaving him out of contract at Hudds, and therefore eligable to sign for us after that making him our player as we would likely be looking to sign him permanantly after that,
