Absolutely agree would love to see O’Donnell at Wakey but it won’t be anytime soon.
One of the best secondrows in SL and still only 24.
Money talks but think he will be prioritising a move back to the NRL before he gets past his sell by date and becomes a permanent fixture in SL.

An absolutely top class player ODonnell, he has just extended for another 2 years, the biggest difference in Leigh in my lifetime is having a top class coach in Lam and Chester has made some unreal overseas signings.

The down side to social media. Anyone can start a page and pretend to be a journalist even without the necessary skills or ability. Add that to the massive volume of data farming pages that the public just like, comment, share and click links on. It’s a huge black market is data these days and the amount of oblivious people who just offer up interaction is just mind blowing. It’s just a minefield.
As for SARL the articles are shockingly poor in quality, structure and lack any sort of cohesion.

Agreed, they are.
However, leaving empty shirt numbers like that, have left themselves open for debate, by both supporters ans social media pages alike.
It's not the first time its happened, and wont be the last either.
It does make it exciting though, as who could be 18 & 19.

What's even worse is that the SARL approach clearly pays dividends - their previous writer Callum Walker, who was the author of a ton of second-hand articles that were spammed across RL social media for SARL, managed to parlay that into a job with TotalRL. The latter outlet used to be a serious source of information when Matt Shaw and Aaron Bower were their two lead journalists, but now they have Walker churning out a nauseating diet of "stories", which are then relentlessly spammed all over social media in classic clickbait style, including rehashing stories from club websites back to that club's TotalRL forum.

| What positions are we short on?
I think full back is an issue with Max the only recognised full back.

Looking at the squad I would say we are short at prop especially.
But overall we are short at:
Fullback, second row, prop.

| One thing that remains to be seen is whether we are tough enough
Full time training and a fair amount of class will set us above most and will see us through a lot of games but we will get dragged into some really tough games and we need to have the backbone to get results from those matches.

I think were ok at 2nd row, we've Ashurst, Pitts, Boothroyd, and I think we'll see Griffin more at second row and I think one of the young kids names in the squad is also a second rower.
Bain, Cozza and Pitts will probably fight it out for the 13 spot.

Couldn't agree more here.
It wont be a walk in the park for sure, but I do see us been too strong against most, if not all the opposition. I'm not expecting blow out scores every week, like some.
At the moment, I only really see Toulouse and Fev as serious threats, and do see us better placed to strengthen the squad further in the season, than others.

Pitts will play 13.
Bain will have to play prop.
The players can’t play two positions at once.
Ashurst, Griffin and Boothroyd are our second row. There’s no depth at all. Boothroyd I hope is good but yet to play above under 20s.
Pitts and Cozza will share 13 I presume.
Ashurst, griffin and Boothroyd second row.
Which ever way you cut it we are a bit light. In a few positions.
Centre we can probably get away with. Thornley, Pratt, Croft with Law too. Kay will cover a few positions in a back up role I suspect.
It’s a real shame we couldn’t keep Whitbread and Tanginoa because we would have looked frightening opposition to most championship squads.
We just need to replace these two with some high quality and we will look much stronger. No good though if they’re not good quality starting players. I can see why we are waiting to sign good quality players who will enhance the squad for this year and beyond.
