Times change mate, I remember turning up at the away turn styles for Cas games under the previous regime to be approached by "fans" offering wads of tickets at half price.

Chris asked me to repair one of the gates on the west stand that wasn't working properly allowing them to go through without registering on the counter unbeknown to the person entering bet that was a right money spinner for the operator

| Besides you can still turn up on the day, just go to the ticket office first, and also you can buy a ticket on line and dowload it straight to your mobile.

| This is ridiculous, it’s 2020, why does anybody think we need cash turnstiles! I’m old and even I can see that.
However I don’t see any reason why we can’t open a few turnstile with swipe cards. My window cleaner has a card reader!
Can’t be that difficult to adapt the turnstile to open only when a payment has been made.
Easier still just put a few more people in the ticket hut, simples.
Ticket only is now standard over most sports but I suspect the reason MC likes it is because it’s easy to account. VAT can be virtually sorted at source and paid immediately. I don’t think it’s any great surprise that since going ticket only we’ve not been owing HMRC and awaiting a winding up order.
Anybody else wish I’d not just said that last bit

I do agree here to a point Vasty. In this day and age we shouldn’t need cash turnstiles, and I think by bringing in the ticket booth in Doncaster Road has reduced this somewhat. However, there are still some people who prefer the older methods, and we shouldn’t discriminate against them, as we need as many fans as we can get. Having said that, any cash taken and held on the premises could be a security risk, as could walking across town, taking it to the bank. That is why I suggested that they use the security companies to uplift and pay it in. That’s what happened when I was at Leeds.
I think the scanners in stadiums are really good, and I know that’s what Mrs EW and her Dad use with their Hull KR season ticket. The problem is, with our turnstiles being so old and out date, it would probably be at a significant cost to the club, which if the stadium gets revamped, doing it now could be counter productive and a waste of money

What happens at Leeds is insignificant at Wakefield, If as you suggested they use a security company to uplift and pay it in, presumably this would be a free gratis service and not one at a significant cost.

| We have heard a lot about Fifita about how he no longer plays to his best. I suppose being hypothetical he told MC that he could not play under the coaching of Chester. I noted the the second meeting Chester was excluded and it was MC the player and his agent. He may have promised that things are changing on the coaching front and he is aware of the current failings at the coaching level. This is why Poaching was announced early and brought in from the 01/11/2020.
I know it is purely hypothetical and the chance MC would believe that Chester is failings is most unlikely but you can dream that he has seen the light.

| Why bring up a hypothetical post just to stir things up if you have no facts why make such a statement. Regards Willie wasn't he Chester's assistant at HKR .I doubt very much he's been brought in to replace Chester but to give him a helping hand which he doesn't seem to get at present. We will have to wait and see what happens with any clear out or signings and in the meantime stop the whingeing about Carter and Chester.

| If he starts to at least make it look like a coached team with some sort of game plan then maybe people will stop complaining but do you honestly expect this. I suppose if he even took some sort of responsibility because how can 17 players each week play so bad when the constant is Chester.
