MC has already stated that its only £5 in corporate areas.
People are saying £4.50 or £4 is too expensive, nobody is forcing you to buy a beer, you don't have to buy it and if anyone can't go more than 2 hours without a beer then i think you have bigger issues to worry about.....'"
Ok sorted, sorry for starting this topic, I will refrain from my cheeky complaining at the price increase, refrain from me and my mates age old practise of enjoying some alcholic refreshment on game day and try to come to terms with my bigger issues.

I think i may detect a hint of sarcasm......
Seriously though, you are not forced to by a drink, if you want a drink then that's fine, you know the price so you can make an informed decision.
Now I don't know you from Adam (Unless your name is Adam in which case it was a lucky guess....) but if you think £4.50 is expensive for a pint then you haven't been to many big cities recently where that is an average price or to many other sporting or concert venues where I would consider £4.50 cheap. Whoever said it was Wembley prices, behave, at last years Challenge Cup Final it was at least £6 a pint.
As Wakefield fans we have had a lot to complain about over the years and complaining is one of the things we do best but I think anybody complaining about this is barking up the wrong tree or maybe peeing in the wrong pot would be more accurate.
The only surprise on this topic is that nobody has tried to blame it on Theresa May or Brexit although with such a pointless topic going on so long I may have missed it....

| If we're being picky, You've also to remember we're not in a big city but Agbrigg, we aren't in a modern state of the art stadium, we're in the next thing up from stood in a field, and we're not in a concert venue sheltered from the cold with numerous amounts of toilets and bars. We're drinking pi$$ poor beer out of plastic glasses.
I'm not scared of paying through the nose and will do at BV this season as it's part of our day out. But let's not get patronising about paying over the top and insinuating a bloke might have a drink problem because he can't "go two hours without a drink". Very poor form.

| I think this issue is all about choices really. It's not compulsory to buy a pint in the ground, but if you do and go to certain bars you will pay the 5 pounds for a premium lager - so don't go to that bar - go for a four pound pint if you want to drink cheaper!
If you don't want to pay four pounds then have a pint before you go in the ground....
I'll put things in perspective (jokingly - but it's true!) my nephew went to Dubai with his wife. They had a meal, 1 pizza and a burger meal (top drawer stuff) and a drink each. The bill - 84 pounds!!!

| Morning. I'm new to the forum. Just thought I'd join in the fun.
Firstly £4.50 is the norm for a stadium regardless of its age or condition, but compared to drinking in Wakefield city centre it's obviously expensive due to the fact you can drink in many places for around £2.00 a pint.
By the way Snowie 'con club on it's last let's. Where on earth do you get your info ?

| Welcome on board Greytop.
I agree on the comparable prices but I wonder if anyone has the whole list of prices as we are discussing the most expensive beer in the Corporate boxes. Not how much a pint is.

| I've only been drinking properly a year but I don't have a problem with £4.50, I do have a problem with the weight I've gained though

I would hate to see this one close as not many left near the ground

£5 a pint is Leeds prices; I went to a real ale house there a few months ago and ordered a pint of something I recognised, and the guy apologetically charged me £7.
Anyhow - given that MC has made very clear that £5 is only for premium lager in premium spots - is this thread now deader then May's Brexit deal?!
