Not really, I recall big Di and McNally doing the same and all was fine whilst things were going well but it soon turned nasty.

I think to be fair on MC he really can't discuss Coach/Player performances on here it would put him in an impossible position and undermine his Coach in particular.

the game is a farce from top to bottom, run by morons. one rule for one club one for another. help for london none for say cas. buy bradfords ground dont buy wakefields. its a complete joke make no wonder the crowds are dropping. the whole game is not far off being on its knees.

Our sport is becoming so utterly contrived both on and off the field of play, that the game of RL has become unnecessary.
The whole issue surrounding the Bulls has been an on going embarrassment for 3 years (since they were awarded a licences showing a "b" against its financial position.
Why should we expect a change of direction, either from The RFL or, the Bradford Club.
They have been taking the mickey for 3 years plus and the governing body of the sport just hasn't got the balls to deal with them properly.

As someone posted earlier, their 6 points should be doubled just for the plain cheek of their appeal.

What more could they do to bring shame to the sport ?

I didn't see Boots n All, but there was nothing on Backchat. I can't imagine Phil Clarke using poor wording. He's a bright bloke, and if the paraphrase is correct that suggests at new developments. "We have heard" are the relevant parts.

Whilst I agree that we should be able to and have to stand in SL on our own merits, this whole sorry saga is typical of the embarrassmnt of the sporting body that we have. The time for appeals is not weeks and weeks later, when we have been looking at league tables and planning team choices, loan deals, spending plans etc based on a situation we thought we had, only to find it may or has changed. This is WRONG! It is just bad sport administration and another reason why I get sicker by the season with the Rugby Football League

Contrived. A good word for it and I could not agree more. This started with the underhanded onset of SL 1995. It went a stage further with the removal of promotion and relegation and took a really cheat based twist before that when we were grudgingly allowed in SL 99 with less money than the rest. The game needs to retun to its true, honest sport roots that it forgot about when Lindsay et al took it over and prostituted it to Murdock and the Sky paymasters. Ok so I sound old. OK so 'The Product' is good at times...but contrived it is. Well said
