Well the weather was better this week and we've got the best pitch in the league. Apart from that my sunday afternoon was spoiled by going to Belle Vue, sorry "The Hearwell Stadium". I think the only optomist there yesterday, was the guy who guessed, how many people had been fooled into attending. Thinking it was a rugby league match and not just a charitable donation to Wildcats P.L.C.

Sorry I forgot to mention the mascot Daddy Cool, who seems to be the only one there who gives his all week in week out. Thank You.

Quote: newwildcat "Speaking as someone who got back in to following WTW in 2008, this is probably the least optimistic I've been about our prospects. The performance yesterday was lacklustre, devoid of energy, enthusiasm and creativity. We seemed to lack a game plan, no dummy runners and non existant kicking game. I know we have had a lot of off field distractions but that is a poor excuse for yesterdays performance. I will be dissappointed if JK keeps faith in some of the players he put out yesterday. We need to get back to basics and play the players who want to be at the club, if that means putting more youngsters in the team then so be it. I'd rather us lose with enthusiasm and blood new players than watch another performance like yesterday. Gledhill was a breath of fresh air when he played but I can't fathom why he's been dropped and we are still playing Tronc who for me is going through the motions. Must also be affecting the other players at some level.

IMO we desperately need a replacement for DB, no one is organising the team and the kicking has been poor since he left. Not saying we need Jonathan Thurston but someone who is capable of filling that role and marshalling the players on the field would be a good start. I also think we have lost sight of some of the basics - our PTB speed is woeful, dummy running non-existant even the kick chasing was pedestrian.

Based on what I saw of Quins vs Saints this weekend, I think we may be embarrased next weekend also. Hope I'm proved wrong, but on the back of yesterdays performance I can't bring myself to make the trip. Sorry if this all sound a bit maudlin, but I'm struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel at the minute.'"

Keep the faith!! Supporting a team has a funny way of turning around. Look at Portsmouth...relegated Saturday, FA Cup Final on Sunday. Never know, we could be getting all excited in August about a cup final appearance icon_biggrin.gif

Does he play scrum-half? Can certainly run fast!

I hope you're right. I get that we are a small club, with limited resources and we can't expect to challenge the top clubs on a sustained basis, but we should a) be prepared to turn up and graft and b) be able to execute the RL basics. Hopefully, the coaching staff will be instilling this in to the players this week and we'll see an improvement sooner rather than later!

We put this festival on you ba****ds With whole lotta love We worked for one year for you pigs And you wanna break our walls down And you wanna destroy Well you go to hell:simpsons/simp019.gif

When push comes to shove we where beaten by 2 lucky tries that we couldn't have done anything about in reality - but the fact is we where woeful in both attack, defense and the body language and attitude seemed all wrong. We had an extra game but I don't think thats a fair excuse, but it won't help.

Trouble is, they where a fairly poor side offering not a right lot - the sort of side (with respect to them) should be beating at home if we want to get in the play offs. We look clueless with ball in hand and have no real organisation - players popping up in the wrong place at the wrong time spoiling any chance of effective attack. We need to get this sorted, and fast before losing becomes a habbit - thats 3 very poor shows over Easter, lucky to get 2 points and keep the points difference relatively in tact.

Only positive is the big effort from Paul King who was by far and away our best player when on the park.

This week - Gledhill in for Tronc, Johnson in for Millard in my opinion.

Agree with your post 100%, although personally I would go further and bring Davey back for Latu and Morton for Blanch. Also why was Ferguson not playing? Injured?

How fickle are you pussycats and you lot see we are? He he he icon_lol.gif

It's only a few games ago, you were praising everything. Now after 2 defeats you say tronc is crap, Jefferies isnt trying and why does kear play players out of position.

Get a Grip. I wish we had your points tally and were in the play offs.
