I would think that anything more than 1 game we would appeal.
Given the circumstances and the referee's lack of control in allowing the Celtic players to keep targetting him with nothing more than a warning to them, and then the actual nature of the decision that caused him to finally lose his rag I would hope that we could come up with some sort of defence.

A player with the team I coach was also dismissed after being harrassed by the ref all game about his tackling technique. He had enough when he was about to get sinbinned for a high tackle, he turned round and shouted 'You're =redEdit directly at the ref, who promptly changed his yellow for a red. One match ban and a fine. (Was rather funny though!)
Hope the same punishment goes for the lesser offence with Brough.
Think it would only be an example increased amount of ban/fine if he appealled against the decision - they like to increase the amount then.

What the referee did, or didn't do, can't be used as a defence. Every player should know about this 'respect' campaign, and it seems, with two in a week, it's being cracked down on. |

Craig Stapleton only recieved a 1 match ban and £300 fine for foul and abusive language towards and official,, surely broughy should only recieve the same ??

funny the newbies i spoke to today and there were a few in my office said asked if was always like that? fighting sin bins sending offs? apperently korkis er tackle was talked about by the 8 year old boys much more than diversity!!
so as usual MK floors someone and goes in to folklaw as "cool"
and brough was the guy who makes them all the other team look daft
they were stood against the railings under sticks and can confirm mk's er tackle was ball first and then upward momentum, and their only 8!
