We had this thread a few weeks ago and I trawled through a load of videos to confirm that Keighran didn't provide a glut of tries for TJ's competition winning total. His scores from passes had varied providers and quite a few came from following up kicks.

I don’t remember him saying anything bad about his time at Wakefield plus I am sure he is in contact with current players so will understand what being at Trinity now means.

| Think a fast spine should be the first thing to sort out ,if we are going to challenge for a top 6 place That is why Leigh had a great season

That season of Bill Tupou and Johnstone on the edge was unstoppable.

Said the same and got shot down ,fans were saying Tupou was not a . The good problem at that time was we had 2 wingers and two centres who could go 80 yard because of speed ,.When I said we were short of speed before last season started ,got shot down fans saying S L is not about speed, So why are we in the Championship

Not sure why you think you were shot down.
One maybe two thought he might not make a centre and I think everybody knew we were short on speed, just not a lot we could do about it.

Yeah, they played well together no doubt and Bill was also at his best in those 2016, 17, and 18 teams.
Funnily enough, one of the best seasons we had was in 2017 and TJ only played 12 games, MCB filled in for him and scored quite himself that season. In the 2016 season, we finished 5th and got to the CC semi he scored 20 from 25, and then again in 2018 he scored 24 from 24 games. We were blessed with speed back then with TJ, BJB, MCB, Lyne, and Tupou could shift when he had to.
Tbh though I hadn't realised how many games he missed for us after that 2018 season, just 41 games in his final 4 years. A real shame really that we couldn't have got him on the field more but what can you do when they get injured? That rest and recuperation before moving over to France seems to have done him the world of good.

| Tupou was an attacking threat in his own right, he was powerful and had good pace but a ‘wingers’ centre he was not

One of the saddest things I've seen in sport was Tupou trying to play on with a knee that you could see was swelling from 40 yards away in his first and last game back after injury in a reserve outing. Hope he's doing OK now, he gave everything he had to us.

Totally agree, I was there and he clearly had the willingness to play still but that knee just ballooned up early in the game and he spent much of the match limping around. Was so heartbreaking seeing him try play through it. I do hope it’s settled down and he’s doing well.

Sounds like Sailor's move to Leigh could be back on but they will have to off-load one of their other overseas players, so who would it be out of Tom Amone, Matt Moylan, John Asiata, Ricky Leutele, Ben Nakubuwai, Kai O’Donnell and Edwin Ipape ??
I think Nakubuwai would still be the likely one, so maybe we would be interested ??

I would take any of those to be honest. Always liked O’Donnell and was hoping we would sign him last year.

| I put a similar article link on a few days ago but from a different website and was lambasted for it. This looks like a regurgitation of that….

Dunno about “lambasted” however I did state that I believed he’d signed for london, which I still believe is the case
