| Only at GH if the club itself was still based in Wakefield, i.e. that means a clubhouse and must be within a half mile radius of the cathedral. All players playing for the club who re locate to the area must live within the city. Coaches, staff, dancers, ball boys, ticket sellers, likewise. The club shop to be in the City. The juniors and reserves, academy or whatever to play in the city too, not in some park located in Cas.
My guess is that this would happen. In the first twelve to eighteen months. Then (due to "cost" blah, blah, blah) all would drift over to GH / Cas etc. Then the word "merger" would crop up. So that's why it's a NO from me and my family. We could have 13 players who've never set foot in the city. Baaaad!
I would support Trinity in a lower division. Super League just ain't that important.
If Cas moved into GH fair and square with no apparent shenagins from Box then I would have no problem going along and watching them, were I tempted to see the likes of Wigan and saint's playing there. And yes, I would shout for Cas.

Even assuming Cas could raise the necessary funds to build it without any help, the fact remains that it would be anywhere near fully occupied 13 days out of 365 and I can't see attendences suddenly going up to 10k plus. Without another sporting club bringing in new revenue streams the running costs are likely to be crippling. Like it or not from a business perspective, sharing a ground is the most sensible option.

| I don't want to support Wakey playing out of Cas TBH, what a farce of a sport when it all boils down to a freakin stadium on whether you can survive or not in top flight rugby. What a gash season, in fact without relegation results don't seem to matter especially seeing as our season came down like a tonne of bricks a few months back. Now we have all our history, the city's sporting heritage and our hobbies as supporters being likely to be destroyed if we don't jump into bed with Cas?
I would rather see us die as a club, at least it would be dignified, rather than slowly dying at Glasshoughton.
At the end of the day this is our own fault, Thornes Park should have been a massive kick up the backside, we got a franchise on that premise, then we looked like mugs when it came down like a tonne of bricks, looks like it could all be happening again. The fact that this Box fella has a big influence on the things the council do seems so scandalous its untrue. I'm just so disillusioned at the moment with Rugby League, what a joke of a sport though really, it's not about how well you play any more it's about money and stadiums and if your from an 'expansion area'. What a load of s***. I won't be able to really be interested about Wakey anymore unless we have a solid plan for a new home. I'm sorry but playing out of Cas just wouldn't cut it whatsoever. This is in stark contrast to our years of getting hammered every week and being threatened with relegation (because of how we played!), I actually wanted to go and watch us play, at least it was exciting! Now no game will matter unless we get a new ground, simple as that, and what a horrible feeling might I add.
Really sorry state of affairs for two proud clubs, but to me shows how bad the sport is now. Got a real sinking feeling ATM, what will be will be, life will go on.

| Quote: Richie_L "IF... GH goes ahead as a shared venue OR NM goes ahead as a shared venue....
1) What colour will the stadium be?
2) What do the local amateur clubs feel about it? Will they want to play pre-match games there as they do now?
3) What usage will be had of the ground when RL matches are going on?
4) What would the shared stadium be called if it housed both clubs?'"
I guess all those would be decided if both clubs with fans agree.
In regards to 1, I have already suggested one end behind posts being amber, the other blue, and one side being black and the other white; all colours represent both clubs. For Wakey home games, the amber seats can be the away fans section. For Cas home games the blue seats can be for away fans.
With regards to 4, I would hazard a guess at Newmarket it would be called "Wakefield Community and District Stadium" or akin. At Cas, probably a sponsored ground.

| I'd like a local sponsor for the ground.
"The Xscape to victory stadium."
£10 Fully watches both sides if we share at Vegas.

I would go down and watch Wakefield if they played in GH. I think a lot of Cas fans would if we were playing away on a different day.

You don't need permission, I was just commenting, not accusing. Relax. Previously I found you to be fairly reasonable in your posts, I wouldn't want that to change.

Just noticed mate you said this too.
I wouldn't. I'd want a sponsor that could provide the most amount of income to both clubs. If say, local company A offered to pay both clubs £500k each a year to sponsor the ground but national company B offered both clubs £1m a year to each club to sponsor it, I'd take Company B every day of the week..even if it meant it was called the Vagisil Arena or alike.
