Maybe Wakey rugby union will make a comeback, they still have a license to play, there is always Wakefield FC too who could play there.'"
Wakefield RFC, I don't think, would ever make a comeback - they'd been at College Grove for almost a century and could only attract crowds in the 200-300 range. There wasn't the interest of money available for them to survive in the age of 'professional' union.
Wakefield FC - I doubt they'd want to share with us after last time, and I think College Grove is the perfect size for them to grow in.
Who else could share it - no idea! Certainly could be used for local rugby/football finals, and the rep. games we get at Belle Vue, all depends on rent charged by the SMC.

Never bother with union but know they still have a license, and not sure what crowds they got.
Do Leeds reserves still play at BV? or has that not bene going on for some time?

Think they play at York now, not too sure, but not been at BV for a while. It's a novelty thing, and once that wears off, who really wants to watch reserve team football?
We really are a one sport city, as good as QEGS may be at producing union talent, there really isn't the interest beyond that. Wakefield couldn't make the step beyond the 'amateur' set-up into the professional game because union was, in a sense, always more of a social game than a true contest to find out who is the best. They didn't have a league set up until the 1980s if my memory is correct!
Wakefield were one victim of that - the money, as always, rises to the top, and didn't filter down enough to keep a club that size afloat in the 'professional' ranks. A shame for those who followed them, but you won't find many who went to College Grove week in, week out.

| The stadium name has to be linked to us, because if we share with any of our rl neighbours then the next step from a Superleague perspective would be 'merger'. So I feel that the more we have that is identifiable with WT, then the better off we would be eg situated in Wakefield, Trinity linked stadium name, WT linked road names around it, tricolour(RWB) seating etc
However, perhaps all these things are hypothetical as we are only going to be tennants and not owners, so the decisions are not those of WTRLFC Ltd.

| Looking at the raffle for stadium naming rights the other day I would imagine the stadium would be named after a company like the Galpharm, JJB, Reebok
etc etc

| If the SMC can make a fortune selling the naming rights so be it - it's not like renaming Belle Vue, where no-one called it the Atlantic Solutions Stadium, it's a brand new ground and a brand new name.

9-10 there was a couple more thousand than that, I went is the busiest ive ever seen Belle vue in the SL era that includes million quid game and all the others imo easily 12k dont know how they got away with letting that many In.
On topic , If anyone thinks that this ground can be called fox / topliss / watene stadium then you need to think again, as much as I would like it to be called one of the aforementioned names, it imo simply cant.
The naming rights of such a stadium are worth $$$$$$$ absolute millions and with the limited resources we have to sell this issue imo will become one of the most important one's to get the ground built. It is simply imo the issue we cannot ignore.
