We're making Cas look like world beaters. Unforced errors, missed tackles, poor kicks and no real game plan. I saw the team announcement and wasn't convinced in the slightest.

This is painful watching.

How the **** did we win this game?! 

Makes a bit of a change, we've had a couple, we're it was how the **** did we lose that game, so swings and roundabouts. It was ugly, but I'll take it, just.

well I never thought I would say this but... Unlucky Cas... You gave everything especially in defence... But I remember this type of result when Trinity were struggling (which has been most of the 50+ years I've been a fan). As Powell said we were a bit dumb... But a win is a win... Now I can start packing to go to Sydney airport on Wednesday and start a month of being a proper Trinity fan again... See you in Perpignan, Magic and home vs Wire and Salford... ( I might be wearing my Sharks shirt (; ) 

I hope the first call that Powell is making is to find a halfback to partner Lino. Can?t keep playing Pitts out of position and not having a proper half to share the duties. 


You can?t move Max from 1 either. He?s just too valuable not to be there. 


Luckily the right edge improved that second half. 


I also think fitness played a part. Cas were gassed but we had some in the tank that last quarter. 


Johnstone and Faatili were excellent today. Uele also pretty good. 


Nikotemo, Smith and Rodwell look to have picked up injuries. I hope Smith is okay or we will be down to one 9. 


Rodwell was just about hitting his straps and looks dangerous today. Looked like his hamstring again so I hope it?s not another 6-8 week one. 


Please bring in a 6 though. These next few games could put us in top 4 if we can pull them outta the bag. 

Very poor first 60mins from us and very lucky to come out of that with the win but we have played a lot better than that and lost this season so will obviously take it.


Too many unforced errors again, 3 times we dropped the ball dead in mid field, 2 of which led to Cas try?s. It?s needs to stop if we are to have a fighting chance.


Stand outs for me were Faatili, Rodwell, Cozza and Smith. Thought Pratt and Johnstone made good meters from deep. The right edge of Hall and Scott was awful! Powell clearly isn?t keen on Walmsley but Scott isn?t the answer!


Faatili played similar to Fafita tonight and showed he deserves more game time than he has been getting recently, he changed the game. Atoni on the other hand, I hardly noticed him.

We were our own worst enemy tonight from three quarters selection, pitts selection, no game plan, poor execution & lack of speed
Our three quarters are slow over. Long distance & rarely make clean breaks, however I was pleased we stuck into the arm wrestle.
The ref is incompetent on many facts of the game even giving 6 again instead of a clear penalty & thus ground is lost, allowing far too long to wrestling then shouting held but allowing slow release thus other teams re setting .

A win is a win.


That?s all I?ll say on that game. 

Like a lot have said  we need a proper 6  Pitts is no way skilled ,fast enough and as not got a kicking game to play six. IN hospitality Trueman said he could be back in about 2 week but Powell said that about two week ago .Do not know why Warmsly was not playing we looked so short of speed down one side We have got some big problems with some of the players in the backs .and tonight was a big step backward Mr Powell as been lucky to get away with the calls he made tonight, Just thinking you can win games by forwards may work in the Championship. But you have to have backs with  a bit of flair as well to win in S L and there was very little on show from Wakefield to night

I don?t know about backs not having flair. I think the left edge with Pratt and TJ went well tonight. They must have made a ton of yards between them in their carries. 


Jowitt was also good once he?d blown off the rust. He needs to stay at full back. 


The right edge needs looking at a little. Hall or Scott are centres and a winger needs to be on the wing. 


I think our issue is we need a 6. One who can link up the plays between 7 and Max. Pitts as much as I like him received the ball and carted it into the line half the time like a forward. 


If we bring in a halfback short term we will benefit hugely imho. 


Farrimond, Whitby, Richardson etc. There has to be someone available surely until Trueman is fit. 

I would rather see Stevenson there though than Pitts again. At least he would be able to link up and take some kicks in play off Lino. 

Just got home after a long drive South.     


What a game.   What a turnaround.   Great atmosphere in the North Terrace.
