| Disappointed to lose, but just pleased to be enjoying watching the trinity again, which is much more important.
Hull look a decent shout to make a final this year, losing to them on that form is nothing to be ashamed of.

| It's unreasonable to be too disappointed with that result - the final score flatters Hull a bit, but they were deserving winners. I take a lot of positives from the fight back in the first half - last year we'd have rolled over, so to go in at half time all square was a brilliant effort.
The injuries took their toll - our shape and structure was disrupted and Hull took advantage of that; I have some questions about how those injuries occurred, and I reckon Ellis will probably miss a couple for his cheap shot on Toupou - which of course means that because Silverwood and his team missed it, will be of benefit to the next team they play and will mean absolutely zilch to us.
All in all it was a good game; and if, as many people thought, that was a genuine test of how far we've come, I think it's a positive indicator.
To the Hull fan on the toilet roof - well done, I'm sure your village missed its idiot for the afternoon.

| You put it better than I did Bren - I'm only disappointed as I want trinity to win every game, the difference between this time last year and now - worlds apart.
It showed how important a good kicker is. Sneyd was knocking them over from all angles, I was getting fed up with it. Not saying Finn is a bad kicker, but we missed 2 relatively easy kicks which would have given us an 8 point lead at the time. All ifs buts and maybes but maybe Hull got a lift from that who knows.
Roll on Widnes. If we play like we have been recently we have a good chance. And we owe them one after recent meetings.

| Good to see the boys stuck at the task at 24- 6 down last season they would have gone on to score a bucket full against us never been a great fan of BJB in defence but later in the game he lost his centre and had to help cover that.

Was away all weekend so missed out, but from the highlights and what people have said I agree. Disappointed to lose because we were certainly right in there till late on, but on the whole pleased with how the team played, stuck at it and didn't let their heads go down.
We fought really hard to get back into the game in the 1st half, which alone shows how far we've come. Like you say injuries seemed to disrupt things in the 2nd half, which gave Hull that little bit extra that showed in the end on the scoreboard.
Apart from the injuries we can take a lot out of the game and move on.

Just out of interest you call us "Wakey" in the above post?
Have a look at how many fans on this forum refer to us as that. It's usually 'we', 'us' or 'Trin'. It's as if you are an outsider looking in....
Secondly if a 'decent' (well funded) team plays well against us, and we also play to our potential, who would you realistically expect to win on any given day?

The Hull Fc fans I know disagree with you. They felt their size was major factor as we couldn't contain them towards the end but said it was obvious to see how much we had improved. Gave particular praise to Jowitt and Johnstone but raved about Miller and said if he had shown the same at Hull he would still be there.
