Spoil sport that had all the makings of a classic RLFANS rumour!

Going on what is being alluded to on here, a better rumour would be Ted had Tronc and his family living in the new bottle bar cabin, after originally promising him Heath Hall.

More likely Ted has had him kipping on the floor of the Red Shed which he didin't mind until the fat man came back from Germany and moved in with him...

You are spot on there...if a player is honest and wants to go, so be it.

| Quote: Outwood Vic "Dont know what's been said (not going through 6 pages) but vthe few comments I have read are to say the least ill informed. Is it not possible that the club has not fullfilled all it's promises to Shane, and his story of the wife being homesick is to save the club face??
Might not be true, but until people know all the facts they should reserve judgement on the lad.
Charlie Leono anyone??'"
If it is a case of broken promises, makes you wonder what he told him. Its also a pity we can't rectify the situation and do what we said we would do and then presumeably he would stay.

We'l agree to disagree, I have read the post again I can see why you have got your back up- however, the points remain the same sir. I do feel that it is kind of relevent that he has become home sick within the last two weeks, the same two weeks where the interest is shown from brisbane!- THEREFORE, I am angry with the way he has conducted himself, if he said 'at 28 there is not a better opportunity for me to join them' i would of been disappointed but not angry. Simple really, sorry if this post offends you yet again!'"
Not too offended, I see your point. Let's shake hands and walk away.

Put it this way, I would of thought you can only ask for a fee for a player when you have fullfilled your contractual obligations to that player.

| I seem to remember at the time keith mason left us i was told international transfers had been abolished, if true then surely its a case of we either let him go for nothing or we keep him? Can someone confirm about the transfer fees.

Here's a start,
Russell Klein
Rod Snell
Don Swanston
Ronnie Troutman
Alfie Songoro
Robert Piva
World beaters to a man
We could have got lads off Eastmoor or Normy who would have done just as well or better. In fact we did. Richard Slater and Nigel Bell to name but two.

Yeah, you are right! It did seem a little bit like my mates dad's barbers florist-ish! But it wasn't meant to be like that!

Don't forget Clinton O'Brien think Gareth Gates frightened him off! Matt Sears five bottles of beer in a broken hand, or man of glass Dallas Hood all legends. Got to be the only time our entire overseas quota has been walking through the crowd selling raffle tickets!

Dallas Hood. The best overseas raffle ticket seller ever recruited by a Super League side.

| Regarding transfer fees. You must be able to get something as Sam Burgess was contracted to Bulls and Souths had to pay top whack for him so we are due money for tronc. Even if a Rugby union club wants a league player if he is under contract they still have to pay and thats a different sport. I am not chuffed he's leaving but not getting anything out of this is a bum deal.
