Nothing at all to lose I’ll support him and hope it pays off.'"
Finn had a rugby brain ,and a fast team round him Gale as got the slowest ,oldest ,worst team we have had at Wakefield for years

| So he is the best option available.... well I am not in touch with who else could be around either UK or elsewhere, I do not have that contact with other clubs.
However One thing I am sure of is that we are in a desperate situation and that brings risks and signings like this.
Will it solve the problems we have.... we will know the answer to that in the next few games.

| Unlike many others who are perhaps put off by his 'cockiness'( good halfback often are) I wanted him in close season. Let's hope even if the legs are not as quick the rugby brain still operates well.

Cockiness often runs alongside confidence and we need that desperately!
It was because of his cockiness that made him one of the players you hated but wish he played for you!
I remember the winning drop goal he kicked for Cas’
2 or 3 seasons ago - how I wished he played for us that day!

I agree re the cockiness and would add how much he loves a stage so he'll know there are many watching in the hope he'll fail and I hope this will motivate him

Time flies mate, that drop goal was 2017. A lot of the perceived cockiness was one of several "in jokes" at Cas at the time. You may remember Connor McGregor was in his pomp at the time and Gale did an impression of his victory walk.

| Easier to be cocky when you are winning.
If he gets us a W he can walk like whoever he likes for me.

| When a team is relegated, all the players contracts are made null and void.

| Yeah, we kind of know that already, so we can only assume that Gale's contract is likely to continue if (when) we do get relegated ??

All their Super League contracts are null and void.
They could have just written a contract for next year covering both options. It's not difficult.

| I actually think Gale is a decent signing, if he can get us around the pitch then that should hopefully free Lino up. I think Lino has come in for some harsh criticism because he is literally our only threat at times so all the oppositions focus is on him. In terms of Smith I was excited when we signed him and from watching him there is a player in there but not for a team like us. He reminds me a bit of Danny Maguire in the way that he looks to play off the back of people rather than being the creator himself but the issue is that we don't have anything for him to play off. I think in a better team he would be more successful.

This is what I do hope is happening for a certain few players I would really not want to lose. The likes of Eseh and some of our younger talent.
If possible I would really like us to keep Whitbread.
No reason the club shouldn’t nagotiate failsafe contracts with certain players depending g what league we could end up in. Suppose it’s taking the initiative.
As I said if we are to end up relegated we must make sure we have the strongest squad in the championship and continue to build and not end up like Bulls/Widnes who cut the squad and ended up struggling for years.

I was just reading some of the forums from other clubs earlier this morning, and Wigan fans were mentoning Eseh.
Hopefully, it was just fans that are saying who'd they'd like to have in their squad etc, but isn't it getting towards that time now when they can discuss with other clubs.
Like you though, I would like us to keep Eseh and Whitbread

Eseh is under contract but other SL clubs will be circling a select few like Eseh who have potential to play for GB in a handful of years. They will be ready to jump in at the first opportunity.
Whitbread is attracting the same interest from NRL and SL clubs allegedly.
We need to focus on getting the points at Warrington though. If we
Can pull out a win things will all of a sudden look brighter. Wire are stumbling a bit too.
Tanginoa back and Gale in will be a boost all been well.
