| Quote: Theboyem "He could have just sat and collected his wages for the next 18 months so credit to him for going if he isn't fully committed anymore. He had his injury problems last year in particular and then a rather unfortunate one this which seems to have tarnished his reputation a bit but 28 tries in 63 SL appeareances shows his threat us plus many others set up for his winger. I know Peter Fox certainly benefitted from his passes on many occasions. One of the classiest centres i've seen pull on the Wakefield shirt in a long time and he will be missed.'"
I agree, at least he's admitted his heart isn't in it anymore and has done the honourable thing. Like you say he struck up a great partnership with Foxy and they had a good understanding together. I once heard him described as the poor man's Gidley which is nothing to be ashamed of, just a shame he did get injured a lot but was a joy to watch at times, very classy and skilful

| I wouldn't agree with the honest tag. Hes been on the sick for ages, he could have decided his hearts not in it then and left. That would have been honest. He could then have spent his afternoons in the Strafford instead of the costa.
How can you give credit to a R L player that's not committed.

Ok, but only he knows at what point is heart wasn't in it anymore, when he did play I don't think generally he can be accused of shirking his defensive duties compared to others, although he wasn't without his faults in that area, but generally I think it's harder defensively in the threequarters than in the forwards, I don't mean harder physically I mean it's harder to read attacking threats than down the middle generally. If the club thought he was on the sick as you put it they could have cancelled his contract, but obviously that means paying them up etc. Before he was offered the last contract they also knew his injury record and his wage demands, which obviously they were happy about?

| Collis was a very good centre which are rare in RL these days. You all quote his injury record but how does it compare to Lyn and Ali for example and let's face it how would many of you like to play professional RL. His last injury would have sent many of our male supporters to a&e but he carried on and finished a rugby match so let's not get too carried away.
I suppose some of you are just looking for a reason to justify his departure. He left apparently because his heart was no longer in it and can you blame him, the squad he joined with were decimated to reduce the overheads and then you have to endure being beaten every week by 40points. He may be a rare player who had pride in playing.
I wish him well because he was the classiest centre we have had for several seasons.

| Good quality for Wakey but if he had been blue chip like some are making out, he would have been snapped up when the team got broken up.
Maybe his past injury frailties were the reason no one came in for him?

I might be wrong here, but I think at that time there was interest from more than one club, but had the desire to stay here and wanted a new contract, not sure if it was related but it was about the time he went into partnership with Paul Aiton.

Wasn't his contract signed round about the same time Tim Smith got an upgrade on the contract he had only signed months before?
Sign players up before impending meltdown!!

| Definitely a classy centre and a good servant for the last few years. Good luck to him I say and thanks for all the great tries scored and made.
Pity all the cloak and dagger stuff has prevented a proper exit.
Never mind, wander who's next to be slagged off?

| Where has he said his hearts not in it? Wasn't he given the nickname 'bear' by some team mates, as in he was happy doing the bare minimum required....makes sense if true.
Either way atleast he's being honest. Said it before, baring injuries he's been the best centre we've had for years since Domic. Not sure who i would have picked on their day though.

His hearts not in it was from me. Genuine quote from a very good source.

| Collis can play. Don't know what has happened here but just more of the malaise that hangs around us at the moment. To be fair, the man has had a testicle ruptured. I'm not sure how willing I would be to be up for this struggle given that. He looks quality to me but maybe this isn't the right place for him at the moment
