| The passing from the play the ball was also absolutely woeful. Sorry to say this but Andy Ellis could really pass a ball which gives your pivots the front foot and a bit more time. Does that skill come up in stats as it should.? Bad call selling him to Featherstone it should have been Wildie. Aiton is a fantastic tackler and a good runner but Shiite passer of the ball.
Bad call buying Molloy.
Bad call letting Mariano go on loan , will need him back if Kirmond injured for competition for places IMHO.
Lynne does not seem to have the skill set for a SL player whether its wing, centre or full back so poor signing.
These are all coach decisions and bad ones. Think the run of wins last season had more to do with luck, can't see Sykes coming back in 2 weeks being able to impact on this significantly as there are just too many issues with the team, Lauitiiti really went missing today which I was gutted about maybe carrying a knock as already stated.

| If you've seen any of the Hull derby, you'll see players who won't lose without a fight.
It seems to mean more to them

| Its all clear that Agar has been clutching at straws for several weeks..........
Mid season signings.............
Molloy hardly played since injury, straight into the team against Hemel and then into the first team - and didnt look no where near ready for competitive rugby, never mind super league.
Tautai - no first grade rugby this season,48 hours off a plane and one training session -- straight into the 17
(yes he played well)
The selections of those two players into the 17 show just how desparate/clueless Agar has become.
Agar struck gold last season when taking Sykes, but lets not kid ourselves,Agar didnt sign Sykes to create the link with Tim Smith,Sykes was signed because we needed someone to kick goals, his link at half back with Smith was a complete bonus.

Agree with some of that but Aiton is not a 'e passer of a ball', maybe not as good a Ellis was but still, don't agree with that at all.
Also we can call back Mariano if needed and lets be right he's not been playing that well for Feath has he.
Also the run last season had bugger all to do with luck imo. It had to do with us playing well with passion & skill and the players seeing the chance of making the 8 and putting their bodies on the line & going for it.
I'm as disappointed as anyone over today's performances but a couple of these comments seem ott to me.

Be careful, some will have you strung up for that comment.
Totally agree with the comment though, doesnt have the core skills required to be a top class hooker.
His work ethic is tremendous, but i want a hooker that can distribute well and one that can get the team on a roll by scooting a bit,not just a tackling machine.

| I won't ask for Agar to go, its an well over the top.
I'll forgive him after he gets us a win next week, otherwise he's off.

| Although he wasn't at his best today, he's shown this season how well he runs from dummy half and did it very effectively in our two previous wins in SL didn't he. We even had threads about how he he'd improved this season in that area.

| I like Aiton but he would be more effective interchanging with a controlling hooker. Someone like, oh i don't know, Andy Ellis?

| I'm not singling out Aiton at all but he does get pulled for far too many forward passes for my liking. We were starting to get on a role today having just scored 12 points and momentum was with us. A forward pass from Aiton and Cas go up the other end and put the game to bed. There's no excuse for forward passes from the play of the ball.

Pauls a tackling machine and for a few games he's shown he can distrbute and scoot really well, it seems we struglle to allow him to play that way.
Pauls a far better player than the one we've seen lately imo.

Maybe extreme to say poop passer just been a really bad day, but did you see the passing from the play the ball today? It's worth noting, we all recognise his strengths but good crisp distribution from the PTB is a must and its a weakness in his game. Need a 2nd SL quality hooker to support him and Ellis was and still is up to it IMHO, a full 80 is too much for Aiton probably and will burn him out. Wood is not good enough Agar realises that now I think.
Saying that we were also woeful across the park, it's that bad it's difficult to know where to start. In such cases the starting place is usually the coach he has made some crazy signings and has let a good SL hooker go in Ellis.

| It is not just a case of calling for Agars head on a knee jerk reaction, there were players in that team today that need to takle a long hard look at how they played. The new guy Tautai did well but must have thought he has signed for a local pub team. Ben C, Tim S, Washbrook and Fox were absolute crap. This should have been a banker win for us but as I said last week I can't see where the next win will come from, top 8, not this year but we have got used to hearing we are a new team next season will be better (my ). Let Agar run the french team we need someone who can build a team who can play together as proffesionals not blundering amatures.

| Look you can all question Agars judgement as much as you want but with the squad he has been given all that was needed was a couple of injuries and a drop in form from a player or two and the bloke has no where to go.
As an example we started the season with one hooker, one half back and a stand off who was a centre/ fullback that we dropped lucky with. Wildie and Wood our only back ups are not SL class.
I seem to remember a great deal of Euphoria when the spirit of 1873 took over the club. I remember Andrew Glover been interviewed as he walked around the terraces saying "The clubs financial problems are now over" and "We will be spending the full salary cap"
The bottom line is whilst ever we spend less than everyone else in SL we have no right to expect anything other than being at the bottom of the plie. Its a miracle that we have won as many games as we have.
So sack Agar, bring in someone else but things won't be much different unless the new coach is given the financial resources that the other coachs have at their disposal.
