The thread was kicked off relating specifically to producing a statue of Neil Fox as purely a tribute to the great man himself. Being of benefit to the club doesn't really come into the equation even though there may be some fringe benefit gained. We are talking about two totally different subjects.

It's not really two separate subjects, it's the same subject but looked at from different angles. I'm not sure if you're aware how conversations work, but it's entirely normal for people to disagree with the idea and also to go on slight tangents or look at things from a different perspective.

The idea of memorialising someone in a statue before they're dead is pretty grotesque in my mind, though I'd quite like to see a big mural of some of our greats similar to how Leeds Utd have them spread around the city.

It's not a conversation though. Someone raised a subject people want to discuss and you raised something that doesn't have anything to do with Trinity and you don't even know what it would look like. If you want to invest in that then great but I think you'll be on your own.

The statue of Neil is a great idea for me. It has to be good of course and would have to be externally funded.

I think in the short term it will be better to decorate the new stand with big, historic photos like the ones in Fox's Bar.

Do we get IMG points for having a statue?

The bleak looking wall that backs onto the house in front of the new stand is a space that can be used as a 'mural type' I know some call it graffiti but getting that trimmed in Wakefield colours and symbols would be a good start! can incorporate the names of a few legends on there

Why don't we just rename the whole city as Neil Fox to commemorate a man who isn't even dead yet just to appease a handful of fans. He had a road and a bar already named after him, but keep pretending he's some forgotten hero
