A totally different type of player to either Crowthe of Batch but, he would be better suited to the likely soft ground and would give us a bit more grunt in the middle of the park.
Btw, I've no idea if he will be "fit" anyway but, IF he is, I'd have him in there.'"
I just think it's too big of a risk first game hull kr will be fired up for this first game especially at their place, need everyone fit

You cant see how a professional athlete who`s job is to be fit can possibly play two 10/15 minute spells in a game because he has not played in any of the friendly's ?
Okay, i get that circumstances could be better but if he is fit he is our 3rd/4th choice prop and gets in the team for me.
Maybe Chester will go with Hirst over Huby as he has had some game time in the pre season, but to suggest that you cant see how he can possibly play, well i can.

| Craig Huby in 2017:-
8th top tackler in our whole team having only played as stated by Wildkitty26 10/15 minute spells.
6th in terms of carries.
5th in meters made.
50 offloads throughout the season - almost 2 per game and just under double what 2nd and 3rd in our team had.
Yeah he's a lil fatty fatty bum bum but in terms of his in game stats what has he actually done wrong? Why don't you pick one of is 13 errors and decide which one made us miss out of 4th spot? You've obviously got some personal grudge against him, probably because he came from Castleford.

Never said he's done anything wrong it's an opinion which is what the forums for. Some people get way too defensive about topics on this site

| Like others, I'd go
Grix
BJB
Tupou
Arundel
Johnstone
Miller
Finn
England
Wood
Fifita
Ashurst
Kirmond
Arona
Hampshire
Pauli
Hirst/Huby
Horo
On the Huby thing , if CC thinks he's fit enough for the 2nd of Feb I'll go wth that and he'll come in for Hirst.

Slight over reaction don't you think?
Everyboďy has said they play him if fit but Chester said he wasn't fit for the pre season games so may not be fit for first game.
Try decaf mate

| I think it will probably be something like:
Grix
BJB (RW)
Lyne (RC)
Toupo (LC)
Johnstone (LW)
Miller
Finn
England
Wood
Fifita
Ashurst
Horo
Arona
Hampshire
Pauli
Kirmond (if kirmond was going to be a starting SR this season then i dont think the captaincy would have been questioned?)
Hirst/Baldwinson (Huby would replace if fit, but suspect he wont be rushed back for this game)
Still lots of very good players to come into that team as well.

| I'd go for the biggest bench possible, not with Hampshire, and just try and wear a team down that hasn't played decent opposition for more than a year. They'll be running on adrenalin of the top flight return and a noisy crowd. Knock it out of them. Isn't the phrase that you can win behind a beaten pack? So beat their pack.

I get what you're saying and there's an argument for that but surely with the size we already have in Fifita, Pauli, England and say, Hirst. That's 4 Props bigger than anything Hull KR have got. Add to that probably Ashurst, Horo, Arona, and Kirmond, that is an absolute huge pack. I bet most of the Hull KR pack won't have come up against a side with that many KG's in the pack before. Saying that size isn't the be all and end all, it has to come with RL smarts and I think our pack as got that.
Having Hampshire come off the bench might provide that spark running against tired forward in the second half that could prove the difference, a bit like we did with Miller at times last year.
Just looking at the sizes of those 4 Props, I wonder if they're the biggest set of Prop forwards ever assembled in SL. I may be wrong but I can't think of any sides that have had 4 all that big.
