| Metrel were the main shirt sponsor for Tigers (I think it was 2011) and they pulled out of the deal. The shirts were already in stock at the time with their logo on. Probiz stepped in (unfortunately). The club put a Probiz transfer over the top which was a disaster.

| TBH the length of time that they have been at J41 and not shown any interest in us indicates that is unlikely to change anytime soon IMO.
I think they would be a great name to add to the shirt, and one that could lead to a great deal of other interest and make the RL public and media take note.
But sadly............

Done sypmathetically (probably easier on white and blue than on amber and black i grant you) it could well be a goer.
The Probiz adjunct to your shirts due to the Metrel problem just looked like someone had been at the shirts with black insulation tape, which didn't help.

| Help link payed a very low amount for the year to sponsor cas which just shows the lack of investment around the region for rugby league. Coca cola would be a monument sponsor but will probably never happen.

Don't coca Cola have a policy of only sponsoring leagues and competitions rather than individual teams? Fairly sure this used to be the case but suppose it could have been changed.

| Coca Cola is a pipe dream unfortunately.
We've done well though to be fair in the past, Sainsburies, White Rose and our stock is now higher than at the time of those deals.
Don't want to tempt fate but don't think we'll be having a "diggerland" moment.

The Probiz sticker was white on blue on the black/amber shirt, it came off in the wash (which turned out to be a good thing in the end ). Anyone owning an original Metrel sponsored Cas shirt from 2011 have a collectors item as the "bad batch" was withdrawn immediately, even before the season started. AFAIAA only a couple of samples went out to the public.

| The Company that resides in Wakefield on J41 is Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd and should not be confused with the Coca Cola Company. While the Coca Cola Company is the majority shareholder of Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd they are not the same company. The Coca Cola Company is one of the richest companies in the world and is a relatively small company relative to it's massive turnover & profits.
The Coca Cola Company authorise and then sell 'syrup' to other companies across the globe who then produce, sell and distribute their products across the world for the Coca Cola Company. In the UK, that is Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd, who the Coca Cola Company do part own, but in some parts of the world, the Cola Cola Company does not have any ownership of the companies that produce and sell it's product. The upshot of this is that Coca Cola in Wakefield isn't who most people think it is and certainly while Coca Cola Enterprises will have a local charity and corporate sponsorship budget, this will be for things like kids football teams and it will mainly do this for causes/groups/teams that their employees are involved with. It will not be authorised to sign this sort of deal without the Coca Cola Company's authorisation and to be honest, why would Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd pay for this when it wouldn't really benefit them as a company and the Coca Cola Company wouldn't pay because it isn't them that are based in Wakefield!
The upshot is then Coca Cola Enterprises are highly unlikely to sponsor Wakefield Trinity or for that matter, any other professional sports club, bigger or smaller, in the UK.

| Ultimately, big businesses with loads of spare cash apart, we should be looking for local business that is doing well but needs a national (or at least northern) advertising campaign.
It doesn't have to be massive but anyone that is advertising on tv, will get a cheaper deal on our shirts for the Sky and national/local media coverage it would get.
You just need to find the one who has the budget and the drive to expand.
Not an easy task though.

Metrel, what a mess that deal or no deal turned out to be, if i remember rightly didn't the deal get set up by persons not in a position to authorize it but nobody from Cas worked it out.
