I thought that too!
They should just do it once at half time and stick with that prediction. In the last quarter it seemed to just predict the winning team would be the one currently in the lead and they would win by the number of points that they were leading with!

| Pointless. Everyone knows that games ebb and flow, that each half is often divided into two parts of pressure and dominance, and how many games have we seen where teams put in a big last ten minutes and nick it? Trying to predict a result based upon a certain point is, well, pointless.
It is interesting to measure the swing of a game though, rather than a result, and so maybe they ought to change the emphasis from the result. Perhaps say "Widnes had a +10 advantage for the first twenty minutes but in the last fifteen its been +15 to Wakefield" or something.

| its tosh, why bother. Keeps Phil in a job , it offers nothing.
It was interesting just how much coverage it obtained, and how often the team agreed with it.
MYSTIC MEG could be employed.

Agreed, its predictions are based whats already happened on the pitch! Do they not realise that momentum swings are a big part of the game.

| Got to reiterate this point, this is by far the most pointless thing I have ever seen.
It doesn't matter and nobody cares, it's as pointless as trying to teach a woman the the LBW rule!!!
RL is a simple game why complicate it with gash like this!!!!!

| I was at the game and I'd persuaded a mate of mine who is an avid RU fan and player, to watch on Sky; ten minutes in, I got the following text message:
"Who the feck is this clown and what the feck is a margin meter?!"
I watched the game this morning and I have to agree - it was yet more embarssing tosh from the Sky team. Poor Brian Carney often appears on the verge of harming himself.

| Within 2 games it has become the most pointless and irritating thing on Sky's RL coverage now that is some achievement.

| Hope they don't get rid of the swingometer. Its hillarious,it could of been wishful thinking by Stevo and Eddie though when it said"Widnes to win by 16 points".
Well done to all who travelled over on Friday you were magnificent .

You didn't miss much - a Phoenix Nights style opening ceremony and a pretty dour match played to an empty stadium - it should have been called off.
No idea what the swingometer predicted - I try to block out their complete drivel.
