And I actually resent your remark too. You may think he is a depressed person who wants to see Wakefield suffer... but in reality all he has ever wanted is the truth and changes that in the long term will take the club forward. Today has been another dark day in the club even more so can we start saying that its another nail in the coffin ?

Probably not as theres always people like you who love to turn the negative into a positive and will be there with the reverse side of a hammer pulling the nails back out of the coffin, whether thats to continue your good relationship with the club, who knows. But Im sure, with a bitten lip and when theres nobody else around thats worthwhile who can hear you, Im sure your saying... We have certainly been mis lead this season ... All looked gr8 at the start with a decent side to boot then what really p**sed me off this year was the sale of Danny Brough... Quite frnakly we could have kept him - there is no doubt in that... Yes he wanted more money, we wouldnt give him it but he would have stayed and played to his best ability to the end of the season... We were lead to believe we got cash for him, we got Kirkmond ''a very special player'' - we actually got neither... It cost us the playoffs, it cost us money (that we supposidly put back into the club), it cost us any form or confidence we had, it cost us crowds (that cost us more money) then we moan about paying the tax man !! We have been lied to this season badly - the board has finally done the right thing offering to step down but its a few years too late and it may be a life changing consequence for the club because of it !!

I doubt it will come to that, we can at least hope it won't.

I don't think Mospeys depressed, he may well want the truth and to see the club move forward, could you please list me all the steps he's taken to make this happen "other than crusade on here". As anything concrete actually been done at any point. How much time and efforts been put into this " truth and changes" because i've not seen any, no doubt Mopsey will tell me next time he see's me icon_wink.gif

Well there's no surprises in there, and yes, we are in a difficult situation - I have not denied that, but I am aware of what is being done to remediate the situation, which is more than is being achieved by the constant infighting and sniping.

I will very happily lend my support to the new owners, if/when we find them, so this is not a love-in with Ted, although I do have a lot of respect for a man who led us to SL and has kept us there for 12 years - against the odds!

We are a laughing stock - agreed.

However, as Phil says you can either revell in it or get behind the club (Wakefield Trinity, our club, not the players, the BOD, the admin staff etc etc).

I'm still getting a season ticket for next year and while we have a club I shall be part of it in whatever way
I see fit.

This isnt a rally call either. Attack all you like doomers but despite us being a laughing stock I dont want to lose Wakefield Trinity forever, as I know 99% of people on here dont either.

But aren't a number of the challenges we have faced over those 12 years due to inept decisions made by Ted and his fellow Board Members?

I am sorry, but I don't see anything to thank Ted for, under his stewardship we have lurched from one disaster to another, and if he saved us when the Pearman debacle happened (again he was only rectifying his own mistake).

He has hung around for too long and we now appear to be at a fork in the road. One way sees the club fold and the other sees us heading for the Championship in 2012. As I say nothing worth congratulating Ted etc about.

Not even a new home? icon_eek.gif

Not that I personally think that that is the only thing to thank him for.

We haven't got said new home yet and if we get it, its more likely to be down to you, Sir Rodney, the Community Trust and Yorkcourt - don't see what such a vital role Ted has supposed to have played TBH

Ted pulled the various parties together. He was the architect of the team and the proposal and has subsequently devoted most of his time towards driving the scheme forward.

All the parties involved need each other, but my role only exists because of our supporters - I am merely one of them and have nothing to offer but a big gob! icon_wink.gif

We’re the laughing stock, the fans? I don’t think so.

We turn up week after week, year after year, whilst our club, lurches from crisis to crisis. We aught to have a fricking medal!

I have no idea who is the financial guru at the club, but, they have performed like the 1st team has.

We don’t have a Sugar Daddy ala Quins, Hudds etc, therefore, if the total revenue for the club is £xxxM the costs should not exceed it, and certainly not at the expense of upsetting the tax man. Someone needs to go in and do a root & branch evaluation at the club & cut the wages bill to suit, whether, its playing staff or backroom staff.

But the Wakey fans shouldn’t be a laughing stock, Leeds fans worrying they might not win a fourth GF, St’s fans might not see a trophy this year, and Bradford fans bemoaning a couple of lean years - FFS – give me a break.
